FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the + V. ?6 B* A- r, b' O
summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to : H- N4 x! t; r7 E% \" s
support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
' y1 A# j1 L5 yAlberta.

" b }0 g' \6 qFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
5 |, j! V3 s: j C! j% f3 C% [" iemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video $ |3 d% E+ w$ D& Z* P
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 2 Y" g( k* x9 J- Z; Q
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 2 @+ @" K+ M* v) S. d8 y
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

1 {- s1 U- |4 \Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the 3 p) g- w+ h2 n' U
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
' T. m% S* |8 `( Awell as the script, magazine and book library.

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
1 }# ~" h; y3 v O3 T- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books ( c; m/ o% A3 F, N( c2 x
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
' P0 l. j9 w- {- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
' `3 ]# K; F7 l" I8 l' b- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 8 Y, R( x4 S8 m5 R7 o0 D& J

- Strong team player abilities
