summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
% n( R8 Y8 F9 V/ \6 Nemerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video 0 h1 `! e P! e' m4 @7 h2 K, w
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a 0 F; ?& x! E+ d
resource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and 6 ^+ Z% E. g- |$ W8 m
screenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern * C- U7 \0 U2 P7 e

Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the + d# `; ]0 P3 u( R" I) g( S* |
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
8 E5 o' a/ r) xwell as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties: + N" O: ]* i; J5 ~
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ! ^$ H, g! J: p* n+ A! T
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
7 V, q* ^( m- Z; v# B' t& u- Implement a catalogue template for future use . l5 `' \. g* i7 A1 t4 T' T
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure - d1 z, v5 S+ T# b
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable : O. H1 W9 e( g

secondary training, university preferred
- w& T: K" k: \' C- G+ b- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts

- Experience or training in library sciences preferred
