FAVA is currently looking for a Librarian to join the FAVA team for 10 weeks in the
& {. h" L8 j( E4 |summer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
& e2 V& k4 S v$ zsupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

" k! \9 u+ }" d# Fand media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
$ X; |3 n; d* h+ L) Presource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
% H& [, h0 I* N- k( Yscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern

$ R( [! Q( }& [; n- R2 t8 |Job Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the

well as the script, magazine and book library. 1 P/ b9 w8 |# y

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library ! M. Q* @% Y/ {" [, |& I3 y6 r
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
0 L$ H2 H) J: V4 i5 Q- Implement a catalogue template for future use $ a9 E5 v5 a' i4 I$ T
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure ) v& p* I. Y' U0 s; f
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable ; ^- b y6 U' M6 e

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-

- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

- A passionate interest in film, video and media arts
0 u) e2 X U7 W- S i# t$ x- Strong organizational skills
6 D5 o9 `& O v$ `- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
