support the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern

FAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from

and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
7 e+ Q0 I; D' presource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
' S! e4 ]! p* |5 Vscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern ( k/ `0 {4 z1 j. E, ^5 R

6 {; V5 } e% v3 d1 l, cJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the + M3 @. a* Q- D3 _2 Q
FAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as

- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library 7 L' ?* o# T( @6 L5 i2 d' p
- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books * L2 n( x V: v- M, {' W) x
- Implement a catalogue template for future use 1 y# ]1 u0 @6 e- [7 K
- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure 4 y7 G$ W2 L- W& Z5 E
- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable 6 J$ I+ C5 A! g* K

- Applicants must be unemployed and attending (or have recently completed) a post-+ s- K1 j' _- X# p
secondary training, university preferred & o( d# \- ~2 e. P8 d2 f3 A& K
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week
& y+ B# ^( X; R1 ^* g& F. ^- Length of position: 10 consecutive weeks

- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
