9 M, |$ e5 d) n* @0 L& h+ g6 i3 Asummer of 2009. FAVA is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mandate is to
4 W0 S9 C! Q: q- s0 Y7 psupport the production and exhibition of film, video and media artists from Northern
0 S* g4 d- D& sAlberta.

5 g1 ^4 k8 B) s" `- k9 n, tFAVA serves members with diverse backgrounds and levels of experience, ranging from
7 N, R) @. i8 B) w4 ~emerging, mid-range to established artists with an unwavering passion for film, video
and media art. FAVA offers: a variety of workshops for artistic and skill development; is a
) w' L9 d* ~. r! p5 x6 A% mresource for production equipment and post-production facilities; hosts events and
: F, b' I! D- e* E0 [! l+ U7 J0 N% Bscreenings; and fosters and develops a dynamic media arts community in Northern
+ M4 f/ O: V- N  J  H6 YAlberta.

4 m) [  }8 ?% c! U0 BJob Description: The Librarian will report to the Executive Director and work with the
# B6 y6 j2 [1 s  s# VFAVA staff by organizing and updating two libraries: the film, video and digital library; as
well as the script, magazine and book library.

Duties:
- Sort and catalogue the film, video and digital library
& y- n# S& n5 e) [6 _- Sort and catalogue scripts, magazine and books
- Implement a catalogue template for future use
1 [1 U4 A" o" m/ Q9 A7 W) K- Update and develop loaning policy and procedure
; m8 ~5 @5 o7 T+ P8 _- Enforce FAVA’s standard of use policies where applicable

- Funding for this position is provided by the Summer Temporary Employment Program

secondary training, university preferred
- Wage is $15.00 per hour, 35 hours per week

+ m' `" J! d) B5 S. W3 L; W' XQualifications: The ideal candidate will have:

; a, W( k/ k/ t; y* [+ s* w+ U) G- Strong organizational skills
* Y3 @: v7 w. h- Experience or training in library sciences preferred

- Interest in working for an arts organization that is governed by a Board of Directors
