CSSA Spring Trip to Jasper on May 21, 22, and 23.

CSSA will organize a Spring Trip to Jasper from May 21 to 23, 2005.
Activities include sight viewing, canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge, and

, C; j1 _& X! ]9 pWe will go to Jasper by mini-van rented by CSSA and driven by CSSA

. _6 r/ X# N# u4 O9 Q6 OWe'll stay there for two nights. Accommodations are arranged by CSSA.

Day One
+ Z7 u9 h: Q7 A8 Z6 K7 D# \6 |% O-        Ride to Jasper by mini-van.(7 people per minivan)
-        Canoeing at Jasper Park Lodge.($35 per canoe per hour and $25 per
half
hour)(Each canoe can hold 3 people at most.)
* q  x# A) b2 ~) W% g" q. i-        Hot spring in Jasper for the evening.(Usually hot spring costs about
$6 per
person. So it's not that expensive. And after knowing how many people
will go,
! j% C6 D  _0 S1 k4 ~I can work on a group price for us. So sign up for this activity. If
you are
not going, you could also have a little visit in Jasper town while
other
people go to the hot spring.)

Day Two
-        Sight Viewing in Japer: We'll go Maligne Lake first thing in the
morning .
( b1 m- \/ K+ U: h8 ZAnd we'll do the Malign Boat Cruises.(I'll take us 90 minutes round
3 y0 z2 S" V) \  Itrip. It's
$35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12years old)). If you haven't done

/ C0 A: d" T0 s1 S( gbefore, I strongly recommend you to do so.
- [( U  k) t9 J2 K5 y# U( p6 H: X-        Stays the night in Jasper and no activities in day 2's evening so
that you
8 j7 B2 p9 T1 Y/ h* W' Gcould visit the town by yourself, or go to the bar and have a drink or
so.

Day Three
: _8 j, d% E5 a$ u% T5 D. G-        Sight-viewing in Jasper continues.
# S  @- ^) f; E% B" I+ S-        Ride home in the early afternoon since we need to return the rented
van on
time.

Things to Bring:
-        Travel needs.
-        Swim suit if you want to do Hot Spring.
  \$ ^+ p3 ?' V, U0 q& T-       Sun glasses and sun screen to protect your eyes and skin.
-       Camera. It's beautiful in the mountain in the spring.
6 {( S/ U, a" `. _9 S. ^8 O-       Bring some warm clothes since it's still cool in the mountain
in the
6 m. ^5 q1 q0 `: c. p9 c2 ?late May. And we also will go to the Columbia Ice Field so warm clothes
and
; l8 @8 p1 }- pshoes are definitely needed.
-       Wear comfort shoes cause we'll do lots of walking and of course
) m4 H3 u" Z) g9 O3 [( Odrving.(But you won't need to worry about the driving).
$ s" g- p( D8 b6 I! p* p3 ?-       We won't take care of the food for you, but we'll stop at
, H5 I  k7 E/ Mplaces where
- }4 y6 S; e% b) Y& qthere are food at lunch or dinner hour, so you could have something to
eat.
Feel free to bring your own food. (Like instant noodles.) (There is an

# V- w% G4 D4 w3 u/ lJasper, so you could always buy food there if you need.)

Cost: $160, this price includes your share of car rentals, gas,

accommodation in jasper, and national park entrance tickets, and it

the hot-spring, the canoeing, and the maligne Boat Cruises).
Hot Spring ticket was about $6 in total according to last year's price.
Canoeing is $35 per canoe per hour, $25 per half an hour.
Maligne Boat Cruises are $35 per adult and $17.5 per child(6-12 years
