Job Description
Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator
! d& [" S) K% h0 v; YResponsibilities:
) p- b' s4 g! e. v7 w, L# V- Organize focus group(s)
5 f7 d( L& `* k3 P+ P- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
7 J% N  z; [* ]) `" @% d- Recruit children for summer program
  F5 A! |0 D+ q9 t3 n- Provide orientation for parents
- Find sponsors to enhance program
* G5 y3 Z8 }& y) B7 H0 O6 q- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

Qualifications:

  O* l% p8 B) i9 M" ]- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
; j5 q4 Q, g# L3 f8 p5 a- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
- communication skills
- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
4 h2 T) P* k+ r5 I! P2 y3 h* t- good computer skills
7 F; @0 q1 X) K% y- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

1 K( b; C: S! y- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
