Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
9 T* R6 b( y8 D, p g- Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the 0 d5 ~! ^# a) Y- C' @
preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps, f3 K" M s; ?0 r
- Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
, T; [" w0 _5 U6 n: S; i- Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies/ ], j _$ [0 Z2 N. U. r% s
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Program

- Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
' l- `& Z+ J' b2 O6 T Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education4 d. w. _( M% |; [; Z
- Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children7 X7 n3 A" Z" B, Q
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
4 ?! a, G# j+ u7 a0 Y- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
) R" S& |- H0 T$ a7 k/ U% |- P- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese5 ^4 T+ p* e; R( A" M" b' J
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
& E0 g$ M7 u5 B2 A1 P- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning) : W) q2 Q) G3 U
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
