Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

Responsibilities:
* f5 h2 a1 T, F. j- ?2 E- A- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program G0 ]3 J4 d6 u8 Q: f& Y
(ages 6 to 15)
3 h4 C8 M X" m6 F/ Z7 _& h9 I) ?% }- Recruit children for summer programs
' C6 a- }6 B6 N& d+ o8 ^3 V% ~5 _- Recruit volunteers for summer programs% W/ A$ M8 X" n: d; t2 H0 Q F
- Record keeping
# N. v4 @6 U6 ^( `$ ?7 w- Provide orientation for parents# Y0 |+ E0 I! N. Y: U/ w
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency8 ]4 ] y0 ~8 k0 o6 z
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager/ m, S d/ Y$ Z( j" o
! q/ @4 d G7 v
Qualifications:
- `4 y9 M$ Z* N2 Z! V$ w- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
. w5 [; e( L3 }: c5 P- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children+ R0 @; L1 b9 {' Q; ]8 h i
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills0 ^8 N0 X1 @+ e1 c4 D
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
& h4 K3 [# b7 |0 H% [- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
1 g- z* ^$ E" [7 _" ^( l- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
5 E: f1 z g k: c" \- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other Information:
$ N/ Y* I( y' f) @+ _/ |6 @2 z- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) ( ?- @5 H% k1 D
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)' A5 i0 Z, A% y+ E. l( l
- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009
