Summer Job Opportunity for Children’s Summer Program Coordinator, 2009

- Organize, plan, and facilitate the Children’s Summer Program
# V6 t& v' S% o# P# M (ages 6 to 15)
; D6 G% p# N, C: `. v! r s- Recruit children for summer programs* q! g h7 G/ I5 w( o# ]
- Recruit volunteers for summer programs8 [4 K1 L4 L) L/ ?! }+ a
- Record keeping& m) I7 n; L2 G* d/ b9 t# ?. P6 X
- Provide orientation for parents& g: k5 S) a* g7 c* s3 g7 `
- Prepare final end of summer report for funding agency3 h9 F! R% Q0 a0 i* N; A
- Act according to the guidance or direction of the Senior Program Manager h' C! H! P$ i2 A7 I; E# l
$ C" M+ Y- H! LQualifications:
; |& J+ V) {, |- Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
, d0 ]9 S; j' [' {' A2 V- Should have direct experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children7 F' j! f* W4 o8 r3 h
- Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills; S# u: c0 c7 w8 Y$ Z' l |' ^: K
- Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities R7 G( r. I- M. V4 G, g
- Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese& {5 R; K' R% R6 H. C; N
- Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
6 r F( _* ]4 P% I J6 O' Y0 R$ ~4 q- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June(planning) + k% P: r" y" V' e% k
and 8:30am to 4:30pm (35 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
& a9 Z3 H" j( `3 A- Employment term is May 11 to August 31, 2009

- $15 per hour
