) Y$ {! r. |, T4 a5 r    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
/ [. m" w& M8 G    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
4 H& h* w' d7 x9 M5 N$ P    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
5 I0 S! P5 z7 J    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

Qualifications

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
7 y5 u' x; P! y  r本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。

4 S+ S( I) v! J0 C; O& B好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

You've never heard of Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry?
0 \2 K4 ~( u* N5 Y! A% gSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
5 K4 Z4 o/ E) C1 ?* K  t( Nwage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
