Duties

% _. _& d6 ^! e: t% f    * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
    * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis
5 j& L: R& P2 v; v. m    * Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance
  O  n* P9 j( |/ u. m" C! o    * Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
; q' Q* ^, b1 G- G    * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
    * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
    * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment

    * Technical Diploma required; a BSc is preferred

you mean the pay is cheaper, but i think there are lots people can do and this kind of job is worth this price. It is not senior analysist

就是怕市道不好，UA 把價錢壓低了。
( A3 b6 e4 N* Y' w本來 GC-MS 的， 聼說在 GM 裝焊擡推都有 us$76/hr,現在改行了。


  Y$ }  ^0 e4 `+ U! T好了。言歸正傳，ua 給的工資，往往只得市場的 6至7成。

# ]- H$ W# y) f( Z/ I/ S! F' {2 sSamples were first separated into components by GC before sending to MS for identification.
wage range from $42000 to $80000 /year.

ti-MS stands for mass spectrometer with thermal ionization source.
