Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

- Organize focus group(s)
, Y- h8 d$ q3 H- f9 W8 i& N- g7 L- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
3 v# U# V$ v4 u3 `$ }5 G/ z- Recruit children for summer program
- Provide orientation for parents
0 m" M# T0 x, b# `% C: W- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
* H$ [4 p8 `6 V+ O* x- Prepare final report for funding agency

% v% f0 K) ^& f- w5 `Qualifications:

5 A5 U, s4 o5 t$ G+ Q- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
$ t0 }4 G8 O' O% m' V- communication skills
0 R6 H; z; g# [3 Y1 |- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
7 L, n; c6 h2 i* a0 O$ \- d- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
) B3 C# i. X$ g, D% I- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
