A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.+ K: ^8 T5 N5 }4 j
This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and
! _9 x" |7 G, T) ~/ s cknowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)+ X+ O3 A: A4 \& M
• Standard Child Care First Aid7 T" h/ t* s( s; Q/ @" b
• WHMIS, D: M. I I& x6 ?9 A
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
4 c+ ~0 R2 ?/ N, A% U• Components to improve communication skills
+ w9 z* g+ M0 N% f• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search

2 o m2 l0 V+ _+ ^3 q- T- ~• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen' k3 G( ~$ Z* Z' A+ ^
of Canada
/ R4 x% p2 U1 t/ R+ O! k! X• have a Social Insurance Number
4 t. E2 g7 W( L' W1 y) t5 b( @5 W2 e• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check0 w9 {- y P& t& W
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
! V6 w4 l! k' m/ V• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time5 p7 U3 R7 t t- C- h
program+ ~/ l- i2 R* M: A' g" O y p
Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
+ e$ C5 x a# H( o# o3 j+ C$ O4 gthe following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
# i1 }- B8 Q6 ~% a( y' w6 R• be unemployed or underemployed.! {; H0 \9 _+ R. G# O3 J/ B# u
They CANNOT quit their job to take the course
