A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

• Orientation Course for Child Care Staff (Level 1)
& K3 M, [6 L' m8 e• Standard Child Care First Aid% @9 c/ Q3 U; Z- o4 ~) `0 Y
• WHMIS
0 \8 ]1 {6 ]. F• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
) f( v8 E3 e# e% `• Components to improve communication skills' @, k% f8 j6 [" z9 ?6 J( _8 S6 h
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search
: j0 J; [$ ~& y• Practicum Placements

, ]1 p! m: D$ U% M; Y' |4 e, v. g. Q) y• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen( v6 b! ]7 J' K/ Z" L! _
of Canada* \; l+ \5 s3 k. m5 V
• have a Social Insurance Number
- V! a: p( a2 J$ r1 U. k3 ?• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check. g! w1 j9 x3 B E; j+ |, e z7 j
• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet% O+ l/ f) T% Z6 M7 l5 S
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
4 B* K8 }+ a U7 e+ q0 g5 s" L$ _• be unemployed or underemployed.
