Business Analyst (.Net Application Development)

! j& S* I0 M3 s2 c; m9 \/ H* |. f& FAs a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications.
3 `0 d2 o+ @2 Z$ J, M0 _As part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:, P' M. p- `( u4 d" T
Convert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off.
, x; ]5 f# e+ G- j$ jCreate process and data models to visually represent requirements information.
: Y, t8 [4 ]3 zPerform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing. 6 R) t8 o; \2 }- a4 P) _) C
Assist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. . y- a# o ~& G8 _( h9 T5 _5 v7 a5 X! ^
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production.
/ c6 n' _! T% d+ B4 ~4 kAnalyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems.
& W, M; @; r F' n; c' ZAssist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications.
/ o- m+ \& F: F# v+ b; w+ gSummarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement. * w# d( B1 X; K5 \
Responsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables. 9 ?3 \' r9 t, d- r- j
Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset
; J7 s% P/ w% v. x) i6 a; H0 u• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
8 L8 s Z* m/ ]7 ^• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.* v+ d1 m$ n1 G( r2 J! q5 ^
• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.
% f f* o* w. I8 n1 o/ T6 X, u• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
