Business Analyst (.Net Application Development)

As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications. ' t+ |3 Y' V i K3 k
As part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:
! y. @! g* U8 x6 V% i- Q5 SConvert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off. 8 ]* l# q8 Y( ~2 q. L$ [. [( k
Create process and data models to visually represent requirements information. # O& f( B6 \4 _+ L0 ]
Perform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing.
7 Y% |, J$ J3 I" g% uAssist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase.
+ ?6 t( u: t( v1 Q xSupport, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production.
0 ~+ Y5 [9 K: _8 @! w/ DAnalyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems.
, q$ ^; y* g8 d) y2 XAssist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications.
! J P% [4 m& Y$ l! N2 i; @Summarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement. 7 H8 ~1 d9 Q u; n
Responsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables. ( j/ T6 [: G! O9 w
Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset
; X9 K4 i& T7 d• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.$ Q9 R6 {0 x: F& Y G
• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.
; @2 z& d$ t$ a: c& m- g' k" ]' } S# o• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework. R$ H% A1 _% b8 x, }& N3 S
• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
