As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications. $ m" Q7 y. x; J1 I( E$ f
As part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:
7 C; T. b) R3 S8 B# H# cConvert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off.
+ h! F" s! s0 {% Y! yCreate process and data models to visually represent requirements information.
3 I* y$ V; r/ qPerform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing.
! R W( X, h( e/ s; i& P+ H2 G% sAssist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. ; {/ r# x `4 B/ D$ \
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production. - D9 ]1 _6 b3 u' x, U4 x) S
Analyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems. 0 E# {4 B7 P! h5 l7 A% L
Assist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications.
3 R; s6 a8 I% z HSummarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement. - z; f- p! g- G* ~' S: [5 p9 q# i
Responsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables.
l- Z7 b+ C8 x5 n. B Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset
( k, M% p' |7 K/ p! f• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.2 O1 j8 E5 d* |5 c
• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.
$ w+ P* I2 a* S' P- I+ s- x• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.0 D: ~7 s) D* p
• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment.
