Edmonton — Homicide detectives are investigating after a woman was found dead in a west-end apartment yesterday morning.

Ambulance personnel were called to the building at 9023 184 St. at around 4:20 a.m., found the body of a 50-year-old woman inside one of the suites, and called police.% O8 `. U z) I: C$ v# X3 l3 ^

Investigators have not released the cause of death, but are calling the death suspicious.2 E6 x6 l0 t0 ?: m" t

Police say the address is known to west division officers, who have responded to the suite several times in the past for family-related disturbances.

“My granddaughter is 20 and is scared to go out,” Joan Harvey said while visiting her relative yesterday afternoon. “I’m scared for her.”& `# S: l4 r4 N# E0 I: w7 S$ s

Ciara Harvey said she wants to move away from the neighbourhood, just blocks away from West Edmonton Mall.
