Full time position (35 hours each week)

( p- V/ a/ N2 z+ L  x* YJob Description – Responsibilities
•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
; ^+ V1 c/ r' [; c2 v•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
% ^. L! a  S7 u" E# ?3 G) u7 Q•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
8 L$ w0 B# n( `# k6 v% c•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
' X+ `' x( B3 Q7 k8 G2 ]•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
' ]* h; d& B' K+ G, B* x; b•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
$ ^4 ?6 Q8 U* ^/ C& k" r+ j  V* S•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
) M. L+ o/ Y" V  E5 a) D5 L•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
" o3 y( H5 I0 Q% j' s/ B•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

7 k, M! v3 I) ^. _( K7 N•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
8 s; t+ y( C7 c# c: ^2 s•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
' |9 k" X' x$ S# m1 i( R1 `•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn

•        requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
