Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant

% a$ v- ]3 E3 q$ n1 _$ b1 s) kMajor Responsibilities:
5 X* ]$ S9 Q6 G3 E% T, r7 ^" B1 e•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.' h. O6 t& D9 P' s. Y0 ~5 [
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
* S. [) {$ b2 S6 H% Q( U+ S•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  ! ^" b# ?( n6 L: j3 f
•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.
: R+ _- H, j; }- V" [6 J•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
1 j( {- b. _! d% s•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area./ C1 n* z2 ]. t' i, h! ~) c, M, o7 K
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.* ^* N& a  p$ ?' f- v
•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
- }% H: i  n: X4 _•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.) r* S6 a$ P. ]% l/ x
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.
. Q9 l# N/ T9 R" y$ T* T•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
( {8 n# z5 W2 b6 N# I5 x& A•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.
3 Y& O  I7 W/ t/ H1 n•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

( D* Z: y: T; J1 f•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required. ) o& K* t: p" y8 C7 X1 ?
•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 0 C6 q( h) y3 w0 P
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. / L, K* ~2 u# P8 Q% y9 A
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude. 0 `, `1 w: h# M5 L$ P
•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential- w5 r: ~# s- `
•        Not scared of heights% g+ I( F; ^& x7 F+ \; o- m8 e
