Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant, _$ O: O4 p& x2 g$ Z" w
Location:        Edmonton. l( n0 e  o- _; q! f6 Z
Reports to:        National Sales Manager
% q& q% k  s: B9 H/ }, n# |; a: H+ I" V+ j! _) V: p
% g- w- o* G% \7 D+ ^; q: ]6 b
Major Responsibilities:
' `" W3 S  S( v) B5 U•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.
/ ]. S& {0 n- t% h•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.' {( x% p' e7 M. F" l% k- ]  i
•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
  l2 O: i( f$ U& q$ p# l& |- X2 W•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office.5 ]. u5 |% G/ ~
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.. c" Q: m) @) G9 {: z8 X
•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.5 \5 t3 Z# ?; e' ^! L
•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
" f& U% W  E6 U•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
' b/ G- _1 r" |# H& z2 j•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.) c9 t8 V$ t/ S' T1 F. W
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning., m# C2 E- E" I5 D
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.
9 z5 c% I& {4 |( i3 d) _•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.
+ ^& m  ?6 y0 @" [# ^•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.
1 c  m& D/ w* _- c•        Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:: P' X& m. n3 c' {- N
•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
/ Z* u6 I9 V5 }% {& |' j: L•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset.
3 ^( `1 K: v: }. q( M: B3 o* ^- ?! @•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. 6 F5 q; h  g# ~  T, W+ i" B: u
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
6 j: O; H0 Q2 O7 [•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
1 g2 O; c  b# H' W6 q0 o0 g6 ^/ f•        Not scared of heights
- l" ]' _' a7 ~7 W) Q•        Physically capable of climbing on cranes/ladders/manlifts/other0 O  M$ N$ @* C% Q) U
