* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program# d2 r9 |; f8 v$ S% v5 N
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities w! q3 p+ B) W& i( t- C# ?' T
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes; \# Y; {( ^* w6 l; a
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat* N+ r: B0 l+ r* r6 x
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
) _5 |7 x0 r7 f" b6 ]9 }, c! T * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements

* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director7 V* b) r* u; g
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning6 u* J! B; O: l1 e% Y" s
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials
7 U! |' n Z- ?8 }* x( O- l * Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media, F. D I- ^0 p: U3 d+ P! ~( n
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
" }* f* C. E6 H2 ], q, t. ~ * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred, E4 g2 [; p0 F" Q8 P) Y
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
9 h8 j" X2 g; D: ] * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset8 L: F8 _, {4 P8 \$ x- l
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
s: b# g, l5 \ g/ g' N: H * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills5 E( y' x$ p# e7 T6 @% ]" w' ` U
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning

* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills
