7 v" w: i1 r4 o * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program4 p, e! ?; x6 f% X, n( F
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities' W: G. @% G" I8 {7 c7 D9 y5 E
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
8 d# C+ [/ _& X2 z* h" C" w * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
, \7 c6 I6 y& E1 U5 G * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders
y4 n6 v, M3 w* F * Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
/ r; j2 c! K; r9 E * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs( Q) G: h; G5 Q1 E! l
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director# v1 G. @, z+ N- o' X
* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning. G! ~: c1 m0 r% c8 ^- ]
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials5 @ P* c8 Y. w, W0 C# T
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media0 V" T$ w# _: n
* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results# Z5 N0 {2 \5 i! Z$ a
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

7 n( F2 @4 m2 x, H# y * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
0 k( h& E* k, d. V# T6 C- { * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
. b' I$ q% o$ _ * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
) b6 ?9 R% N. I, @8 S * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies5 d9 g2 V' U, B* h% X0 d7 }
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
* k( P7 e( T8 S: x$ `/ S * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
: E, w u5 Z/ _ * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
