* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
4 z4 Z+ l7 P; ?. v. W8 D6 P. k * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities; d Q9 N' c, B1 w0 u( W
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes9 t$ t E6 p- j7 S
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
3 d, J5 V' R9 {5 l7 w) D( j * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders9 t1 a( B0 P W
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
+ W8 H8 N% x& [6 p' X q * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs

* Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning" ~ I% E0 U1 I2 B7 O& j; Q0 k! Y% `
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials' \) O" @6 J$ Q n3 E
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
# d, k# c& s! j. ^* F * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results

Qualifications
6 O5 a1 x5 S5 d6 s
# U. X+ w3 A9 y& N9 [ * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred% a. o0 l7 p$ N2 z. X0 `
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth% J' E! R+ b% n( Z$ N
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
+ \4 a- J1 n0 I * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
8 E6 O9 ~0 q1 Z A* w * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills1 `% c) Q2 V( t7 B
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning8 Q2 ~+ M/ r, h) b0 J3 \
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)- ?+ F5 ^& F, u$ r
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical skills# S7 s* S( {5 z6 n
