* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
7 \0 T" f- u W1 A n * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
- J, O `' h: b9 q+ c2 N# ], r * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes
: u+ x" v3 m6 p% B# J8 y, k1 [ * Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat6 H7 n+ Q# Y/ f0 I- \& [3 l
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders% W' ]/ A- x% O7 `
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
" i5 Q6 T2 Y3 T' J1 L8 q * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs9 {8 r# B5 D3 H
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
" j0 E* W: Z ^. d7 D9 C0 I * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning

* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results. ]. @7 H6 r2 J* V
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies& F$ n& x- ?+ e3 J8 z

Qualifications
I( [" h5 C6 U! ?5 o; ?$ G% K5 e3 e& y" y/ T, s8 |% x
* Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred- r9 p7 n5 I0 x; s f" W: B
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
" C2 y& u$ @7 H2 D# D# S1 z * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset8 }/ o3 v8 v1 _& M1 c8 N9 w
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies+ u% c$ H/ s( e' L: Q
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills2 p9 f: D3 k; d ~& H4 Q
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
, G+ G5 d' x$ l& e" E * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
