Driver killed in early morning Edmonton crash

% v$ k4 Z7 g9 C* K! |( QEDMONTON - One man is dead and another is in hospital after a pickup truck rolled in northeast Edmonton this morning.
: N8 h! g" P+ n/ m/ c1 E7 KPolice said they attempted to stop a truck after it stunted, spinning its tires in front of a cruiser, at 139th Avenue and Victoria Trail shortly before 2 a.m.( J% G7 D0 A4 |' d0 C
Officers lost sight of the truck, but caught up to it about a minute later. It had hit a curb and rolled at 139th Avenue and 23rd Street. The driver was ejected and was killed.1 D0 ~7 c/ i' ]4 {4 f
The male passenger suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries. Speed and alcohol are being blamed for the crash.
