, Q4 H4 ~: T! _ Y0 J, T) x3 q * Provides routine technical and administrative support for sample preparations and mineral separation for isotopic analysis
( h3 v, e* ?7 u4 ] * Conducts mineral separation, sample imaging, grant mount preparation, sample weighing and iron exchange chromatography
! A- F9 L" k+ U9 k5 q- s* n * Provides training to graduate students, visiting scientists on preparation techniques7 I( g/ C" l1 x+ s7 I; A
* Compiles analytical data using standard office software such as Excel, Word and Corel for use by the PI or client3 K" u. J- Y O' ?
* Performs routine maintenance on equipment and lab husbandry
, T2 U# ?7 A* N4 S- k u * Orders supplies, maintains lab records, maintain WHMIS records and compliance labeling, maintains lab inventory and safe disposal of chemicals

1 D. {* \1 F# ^7 M2 K( \ * Post Secondary diploma in laboratory technology, Chemistry or Earth Sciences; BSc in Geology or Chemistry preferred
# Z/ s/ {& }! y$ D& | * 1-2 years experience working in a research environment (analytical chemistry lab or geochemical lab)8 B' \ M+ p& |& J7 J
* Computer proficiency using MS Office applications and Corel
8 x$ A. J' U9 u" y * A thorough knowledge of lab safety protocols and WHMIS procedures
