DESCRIPTION:

Grandin out of School Care and Daycare is registered as a non-profit corporation.  Grandin has both a Daycare and Out of School Care in a shared building facility located at Grandin School.  September 1, 2008 we will become an After School Care Program exclusively.  

The Grandin Out of School Care Board of Directors is inviting applications for the temporary position of child care worker to start as soon as possible.  This is a full time summer temporary position with the possibility of progressing into a permanent position.  This position involves working directly with the care, programming, implementation of programming of school age children on site and on field trips off site.

% k$ e  P. V6 z9 ~( b2 K: u        Commitment to the ideals expressed in the Grandin Daycare mission statement and a desire to work together with sponsoring bodies:  Catholic School Board, Grandin Administration, Grandin OSC Board of Directors, Staff and Parents.
& X" b" @8 ^0 w9 k3 p' p, p        Level 1, 2 or 3 childcare certification or equivalent education
        Experience working with school age children
$ ?5 v, o, ]5 X% \; S9 w* {        Responsible, ethical, good communication skills with parents and staff


RESPONSIBILITIES:

( `8 D/ n$ L5 `  P; c2 M- r         Supervision of school age children in a summer Out of school care program in accordance with the city of Edmonton and province of Alberta licensing regulations and standards

        Supervision of school age children on field trips off site
