Interior Designer

PURPOSE:

Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and

requirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of+ k: L+ \* t$ u, \
furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to

% H, t- |1 n: j: L2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,7 Z g f& k& ?( _5 M' W
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built4 |; Z1 ?3 ?1 Q: S* r
drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for) x- X1 K! }% |1 I% _
specification and installation.6 l1 O) w7 q% C# b$ g( B
3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
& Q. K, v; W- u( G# Rmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering

0 Q( \9 r( U$ ?0 S3 d0 q+ D5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction. k5 T, Y2 y1 I$ z" J
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
7 u) c( M* z6 u" Rsite in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence

7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
$ e$ X# Z U! R- f+ y$ F: x6 bassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes

n* i9 V, c/ L* |# B U+ ~6 N8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
$ Z1 m2 ^/ M1 i1 uinspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
' S& j2 S* g7 r% R7 ^1 q. } T9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.4 Z3 `4 |$ ]1 X0 Q
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a

experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general; g3 y3 ?0 e. A. z0 Z3 f n
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
