Furniture Installers, for our Edmonton location
2 U/ [, H9 h8 C$ {To perform furniture assembly, reconfiguration tasks and functions pertaining to
. v% i8 E! a2 Z4 U; R2 [all types of furniture systems while maintaining high standard of quality and
excellent customer satisfaction. Assists in training and provides work direction
to furniture installers/assemblers.


( y( W3 ?# d2 ?0 g6 P8 G6 IESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and
in a timely fashion.
· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
  |9 Z# `& H8 Y$ f+ `5 O7 R· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
meet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
) c0 P$ m3 l1 M0 oincludes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal
+ n  e- G7 s- W) oand wood furniture at customer location.
· Develops team skills in assisting with project management.

Interior Designer
' d: g# a. `6 a, T
PURPOSE:

Responsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
" I  G# o- @, t$ l/ S) t4 uspecifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
/ S3 E9 y7 y( D* {' a9 oCoordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
5 G& T$ w) E: o: s4 ?5 v, q; trequirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
' O8 B0 q+ |5 o: s/ K! y+ Z/ yto the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
6 _  @  h1 l1 g- `that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may
be assigned):

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
measure layout.
0 }* i, ^. @) ?: A2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
  c+ k9 T- c/ P% b/ rproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
4 |3 |* ]0 R* Sdrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
specification and installation.
1 u: f9 V: N# o; @0 h8 g. w$ m  F3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
- e5 k* Z# Q! V8 Z9 V! hneeds.
$ b' _- G' i( ]7 H8 y4 ~( h0 ?/ B4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
- Q+ a, F2 v$ E) f* D- z& r5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
9 ]0 j* ]( @! oplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
& r3 c  P) z- Y( lsite in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
2 g. M# C* p4 Y$ o+ c- Wchecks.
6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
; U3 k% r; z5 {2 X& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
0 _' j1 n/ V/ N* e# k( ~7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
" x: N4 t* t/ }3 |) S  y3 Xand revisions.
/ O8 m3 x' L# x: n9 y8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
0 f4 ]6 ]* j' B$ d$ {# p( c$ yinspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
meetings with the furniture management team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and

knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
