Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
; Z3 K+ A- D1 K/ c+ D- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.1 t6 [- t" Q4 c' k' c, b1 Z
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
8 A8 h/ u; w" j8 P- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

- post secondary diploma

- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

& H; I" _$ H5 e4 B4 @- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
+ W5 R. `1 F. \* w( o* e- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
L2 z) `) K* c7 f/ |$ H: y- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services/ o' g/ @* D/ a( s. U& Z. ?3 s
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies( P" |; \4 m4 j; E
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members) `8 a" x! M; b6 f6 z
- update ASSIST website
- ^3 {3 A( l5 x# R) x; k3 B- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre# R# W% x5 J: o+ [) d
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
M6 q$ _! X& q! v- assist in writing proposal for ISP
2 A' T3 D: l+ C5 i+ H, |8 G& l7 r% c- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
8 D/ r- w/ Y) E7 C' s( }4 E- hold regular meetings with ISP team
' j, r+ y ?# E B9 r/ E- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
) Q) H6 a; e: z- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
* f) r3 @. H8 ?% e5 Z4 X- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
9 C9 w# j2 Y% V; }* h- experience in community work and immigrant services
( F4 ?) M) `$ [! I: Z- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset* M2 ^% T4 H0 ~+ C
