Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker
1 Q& Z4 U) ?2 P( s(Full time: 35 hours per week)
Job Description
% ?& ]( w& O- F-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
-        reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

6 ?* u9 _* Z7 B' w( d0 v) M; z-        customer service and office clerical experiences

Job Description
-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
( u! F: j+ h# g/ O$ Z1 @-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
- k# u7 C& w# f& s( M0 F-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
' i( V0 u+ K- R- B2 P-        update ASSIST website
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
, P3 i+ ]5 w$ N6 q& x-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
& @1 S6 M5 |+ K) N. @% U5 f- o, v- `-        assist in writing proposal for ISP
-        write quarterly and final reports for ISP
-        hold regular meetings with ISP team
0 S: }3 w: b' ~: @- @-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
$ w6 n9 \: f( O! }8 j9 t+ e-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
-        experience in community work and immigrant services
, q7 P& q% d$ M% `7 y3 s) M-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
