Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
% c9 e9 \; `$ |0 Q! B* i- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.& t6 X( S2 [3 A3 }/ J
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
8 C& m" k! R% C+ X1 P: |- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:: U' Z. T8 D7 l! k
- post secondary diploma ! {: E4 f0 r2 C* M2 \8 A
- customer service and office clerical experiences# i! C- k- i4 j9 i( i9 G
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset) l N9 h2 D( p' U/ Z" g+ X4 _

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community" B4 Z5 G1 N4 o. a' b
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services4 N T! ^+ z% V& b @; B$ @
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services" R4 |4 F0 S* [* x& m( [
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies* `) M+ c1 W' W! \5 e) R, l
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members1 h' `( ?6 k: l
- update ASSIST website, o/ e% u5 g" I' I0 r) w
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
5 y* M, }' k* `! p5 ]- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
2 y. E: ]1 o: C9 Z- assist in writing proposal for ISP. q. K) a7 Z& Z! g/ Y" w
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP8 l. r) I6 x' t* R
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
4 R% u* J, r( `1 V& x& E- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

}! G+ E+ `. R: m3 ]) m5 r- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education

- experience in community work and immigrant services. o, i& Z$ Q$ c' j2 ]: Z% [( E6 t M
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset/ Z8 ?; Q# m) N/ h+ n( K( R
