Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team, [- K$ i( v# X) P% F* a) Z1 o

- post secondary diploma ) t- u8 r& B6 v, i5 B
- customer service and office clerical experiences
9 H9 \1 K: y! ^1 `- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

+ c0 s, ] y# X% q. V5 c- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
+ h& a4 Y; M Y3 t8 p. \- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services) R) {) _- t3 U" Q9 Q
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
# v% o8 ], P. R# r: E- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
3 W6 y; V4 D/ f' r- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members0 h7 v3 d6 J o% N
- update ASSIST website- s/ O4 K7 q( ^4 W& O6 a x" X
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
& c. w Q5 q! p; m8 i1 w- Z7 l" H$ y8 |7 `- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
- I9 `' _# F/ m/ W- assist in writing proposal for ISP
2 ?: ^ r f8 o: {- write quarterly and final reports for ISP4 ]/ C. C0 R( A: E; {5 H4 N/ V
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
& g( E, J& L6 j# u: R- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time' u5 h; r: j6 I5 R5 ~! A1 u
- update membership database
# l; y- L- y- s {! k- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications& t$ {" f7 D$ ~! @9 U/ T' @$ c
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
, U1 d8 V4 n* Y: U4 u- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
& t% M {* H" M. `3 K3 i- experience in community work and immigrant services
/ A" L/ f; R5 p6 K- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
