Context: The Edmonton Social Planning Council is a not for profit organization that provides leadership to the community and its organizations in addressing social issues and effecting changes to social policy.

; e3 @ l3 |5 n1 S% `5 n8 S. _% hThis position is responsible for: managing/promotion the ESPC Resource Library (including compiling & purchasing resources, retrieving/analyzing reference materials, promoting library materials & services, etc.); consulting with community partners about their social research priorities and needs (helping to inform the creation of new research partnerships and projects).1 `* K' c; g0 C+ N
: s7 X5 j$ s* N$ QPLUS: assisting with ongoing research projects (in particular, data and information retrieval and analysis, and report preparation) and various other responsibilities including, but not limited to, assisting in website maintenance.0 T8 g% I# |7 K: B/ M) q W

The successful applicant will: hold a post secondary degree (or related experience) in the social sciences or a related field; have research & analytical skills/experience; possess excellent written/verbal communication skills; be well organized & have confident computer skills., }1 n: ^+ S8 y0 l! PLUS: able to work independently & within a team environment; have a keen interest in social issues & a desire to make a difference through one's work.
