8 u: a2 o" k" rContext: The Edmonton Social Planning Council is a not for profit organization that provides leadership to the community and its organizations in addressing social issues and effecting changes to social policy. O7 c) x7 w7 z5 e: _

This position is responsible for: managing/promotion the ESPC Resource Library (including compiling & purchasing resources, retrieving/analyzing reference materials, promoting library materials & services, etc.); consulting with community partners about their social research priorities and needs (helping to inform the creation of new research partnerships and projects).0 O# d. L& k& Y# |- s4 B
2 y& l9 j }6 p# p5 V4 w' T0 b; Z3 SPLUS: assisting with ongoing research projects (in particular, data and information retrieval and analysis, and report preparation) and various other responsibilities including, but not limited to, assisting in website maintenance.1 T* F- f9 n/ s* w. v! r% b; A

C* _2 L; EThe successful applicant will: hold a post secondary degree (or related experience) in the social sciences or a related field; have research & analytical skills/experience; possess excellent written/verbal communication skills; be well organized & have confident computer skills.- I# w) m7 R7 @
