ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our

strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
( L4 y: Z2 _" D8 h4 m  A6 [related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
1 t+ d# Z) }& l4 e1 s1 Qfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
7 `( O5 r. N3 A4 l8 w3 arequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
, `" H( h* J9 O4 m: lover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
5 \( G. s5 m% B" N/ Sis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
) F: X2 m* g" }& \) naccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
