ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
2 g. w& b0 n2 {7 T! L' o! U. S7 RUniversity of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
' y+ G$ d! r1 u5 Wto apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
& @1 m; l/ }8 h3 p  z" B) Bobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
. m, Q+ ~: s7 Bfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
& G/ ?# u9 I2 v1 _+ R) Fover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
