烤蛋糕

• 1/2 cup butter

( x2 M( m# c: i7 ?• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (if you like the flavor, otherwise, none)
" O M" k3 T5 G6 T% U) y• 1 1/2 cups sifted flour or all purpose flour (former is better)+ a0 @' g# \+ c/ r! t
• 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

PREPARATION:* N' [5 {, F- v( b _' U
Beat butter; gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Sift together the dry ingredients; add to cream mixture alternately with beaten eggs, beating well after each addition.

Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan then turn out onto a cake rack. Cool and glaze or frost as desired. Store tightly covered.

这是yellow cake,我最喜欢的,又简单。ingredients 我一般比较严格执行,否则变味,但是我通常要把糖的用量减至3/4到2/3,洋人用糖量太大,太甜了。但如果你认为cake mix的甜度适合你的口味,就用上述的量。4 r6 x) T! |% c& } e
beating,要用mixer, 一般的$10左右的hand mixer 就可以。烤蛋糕,面包,或做土豆泥等都用得上。# ^/ M( k) n: G+ f" O0 u$ m
: Z. d5 r. S3 h检查是否烤熟的办法: 用牙签插一下cake中间,若没有什么粘在牙签上就熟了。 |
