; i$ {9 q, Z) q) oPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team. & g* w- U8 Q2 l

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community

- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services# l1 m( f: W9 I/ A1 b
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies0 a$ h+ V+ S1 z7 i
- coordinate good will activities- T1 W& M) x& C. Q$ t
- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- prepare and send AGM information to members7 U9 ?8 c5 ]" j. K) [
- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist in writing proposal for ISP) C7 G8 o. U2 ?* ?& m
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP/ }- O+ J3 R" g
- explore new ideas for ISP

$ L! t6 d" }* }" ]- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education # P# B; e1 e# u. D% f9 i, B
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills1 C1 F5 v$ \2 H$ N4 D
- experience in community work and immigrant services
- s2 T$ V+ X$ ~! h2 r: L- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars
