' m$ U) Y8 P$ M2 R2 J) kPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment, Immigration & Industry, the community development worker coordinates workshops seminars and activities. This individual reports to the ISP program manager and provides support to all members of the ISP team.

- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services9 l2 K& }8 q& @, d6 h
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies

- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc./ G4 F8 o: N) n! r) \ l
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities

- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre G& A+ c5 V) U0 h
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services

- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education $ ^. ^( D. ?* C& n. v/ `% \
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills% q. S# x m* n. e/ e* `
- experience in community work and immigrant services
