• develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures

• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

' s, C0 U( ?! m+ i• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders- g: I% U' ~$ r* f+ @
• set program priorities and directions

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends$ j# L& M: v8 b: l* l
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities) Q, J" R. E" A" l
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
$ l0 I' c' F F9 ]; @5 A9 m' {& n• communicate the value of the organization to the public1 h4 e8 i; ?$ ?- s# v
• identify community needs and trends
0 S% q2 o2 @9 b$ A• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
2 J9 c! {4 ], g1 \+ k• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
+ U3 r E) f: q2 [9 Q• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.7 J4 H8 i8 q! T/ |( _
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff) A! ~, t* {% R8 ^) [0 d

Qualifications& W4 `7 `) N v) T
- University degree in a related field; / b; Z& Y$ R, ]" N: S
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
7 Y6 z" ]# {! e; |9 u- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; / ~! J. b. O) n- @9 ~: V
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
