• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends/ J( R/ u' D& W, E# ]( n0 R
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
) P( o1 u# ^ M+ a• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders' n+ |% S0 U3 N1 F
• communicate the value of the organization to the public
! `8 l% Q# q `. V: U• identify community needs and trends: M: b5 J1 O$ ?- Z y
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
) {+ q% V2 F9 {* t& G0 C6 A8 k+ _1 ?• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups- ?$ Z" _, S: g" g, s$ _& H0 V+ V
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.. S( U7 s6 Z) {$ _( I
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff- y$ g. G1 {8 L" n( A

- University degree in a related field; ) `( a* V6 U1 z
- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;+ d" j' I& C* H2 c* B8 X
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
3 C3 K7 z; G- b6 i% g! P- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization : Y V( b* X0 R% P, K, D
