• is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

• develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

Staff
7 q) G7 U! o1 I5 |. U6 ~; s• responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

• monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

Programs/Services
; h; q. W6 p0 F+ O6 g• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services/ U ]# ^& y/ t' M J% ]4 M
• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
& D$ n6 I- |# u" ?• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders

• identify community and user needs and trends, g$ b0 `" o" g+ e" m: i, o& c( R
• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
& x5 ~. w- W. h7 n5 } l• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• build on knowledge of community resources in program development

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
6 T L, L$ r, q, P• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
" M, s# Y. h/ ^: j• communicate the value of the organization to the public
% ` v, o8 l% v/ k- t• identify community needs and trends% m0 C" l- V4 g! R
• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
6 l5 b' ^9 P+ a' ]( U% i• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups) M0 Z( ?: b2 }& r5 U
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems." Z1 Y3 A, Y* u1 v
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications* ]" M# S! |" E8 I% n
- University degree in a related field;
: Z8 N' c/ U j9 a' h7 k- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
, R+ y! E# O( A( Q) U0 e- r- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; + K1 J5 c5 q$ D1 Q; [2 K$ y8 R
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

Salary
. G6 N$ ?* ?1 j& U! _/ [- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits 5 l8 b# U: ?' S
