•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals5 Q" @5 z, x" d5 K! z4 @+ o# i
•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board

•        is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements
& z: G1 ~# M" |3 p: D. ]9 K$ @•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures$ x+ J# X. U9 B- R
•        development and management of the programs budget' D$ J9 f' ^9 s# R! w3 q
•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff

•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators

•        meet with staff on regular basis% b  d3 s3 N8 ^4 D& c
•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

+ R3 [: l, ~/ A•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services! D/ w2 b( T6 F0 i
•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
' B& V$ d8 Z" ^/ \0 m3 C•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders% _$ W" |, K/ g- w, _) M: I# y; _
•        set program priorities and directions
, j" n! i8 [- Y8 F6 G•        identify community and user needs and trends* D6 e+ y% f: g* p7 ]% v0 H
•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
+ [8 o0 `1 Q4 J9 ^' @  y6 |•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research
2 }5 D% S* G3 E7 s3 O•        maintenance of appropriate reporting

0 v  R( T' x+ ~" A3 l, G, u•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

External Relations
& [- q( A$ O4 i& c" I•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
2 n, E) @9 y3 O* }( H•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders  M$ Z: e+ _  B( b; }$ Y
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
+ S, H$ q: \6 W6 E; T' Y; g( Q: m•        identify community needs and trends
1 C  O) J, Z1 `% b, n•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
" ]3 y; y) d  D5 U) M& S; W: U•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups, w/ k. `+ r4 Y' R( @' a9 t4 p
•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.- M& X9 C: F0 D
•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff
# Z9 G6 b( P: c8 v( p3 j  ~5 E/ [. Y" y, s9 e- v
Qualifications
; W; @9 M$ C+ Y/ X9 w+ L( F1 }! O-        University degree in a related field;
' i+ }9 V1 a' {5 P$ c-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
7 H/ C& z  j' g9 K+ j; v# t-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
, [! i7 C: h) \% V" ~-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
5 j) X, n$ a; n& ?  R! f6 d' r! T8 u7 _- N$ R0 a& Q' P
Salary9 K1 a0 D% K+ u8 L
-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits ! g0 P/ I6 N' [( x) C2 R0 G
# f% G: W8 O1 P* |' U4 U
Standard Requirements
3 v# W" A8 Z; }' Q-        Security check ( at the expense of employee) and child welfare check
