Staff

• provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions

Programs/Services
6 a. L P, J' W( L- W. t: v• overall management of all agency projects/programs and services7 d0 e. M, @- i+ m& y) k
• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
2 ^( U, } ~: J- e* n• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
5 o2 I% T; C( l8 Y• set program priorities and directions
2 G, Z1 D+ W4 V: I# |7 j# g• identify community and user needs and trends( \% a8 \" e/ C5 u0 t
• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends0 b1 b3 @. ]- K0 a
• conduct program evaluation/survey/research

• delivery of program or activity to participants as required9 x- T1 H4 [: M' X2 \

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others# \1 U' z0 v5 J0 P4 `4 h& ~

External Relations
7 t) U+ Y- ~; h/ x. Z8 K2 P. B$ P3 E• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities/ L9 R% d% B' O% t! I
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
) u! V) {9 l3 q/ z1 U7 b7 k• communicate the value of the organization to the public) ~4 P7 R% }5 O% \
• identify community needs and trends
& P C7 w6 H# i; b• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
* t" I6 |8 T ^$ G) D4 F0 `! h• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
" p8 |: z4 P# U• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- University degree in a related field;
# `' z% T) r$ c' ?: e- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;' d* p+ V# [) C- P1 ^
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 0 Q1 Q- u5 d' g! r+ z9 Z0 s# n$ W
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

Salary3 H' m2 W6 ~6 r
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
