• is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements

• provide leadership to staff and volunteers

• build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
& S9 E; o# `! [" ]) N• prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders7 M% m4 D: [' W. A! _
• set program priorities and directions
/ i; q0 K Q# k. s9 ~4 \" U' i• identify community and user needs and trends
2 p" D: |% `: Q/ | _• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends& W- N3 {' q. h6 C v

• maintenance of appropriate reporting

• ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

5 J4 u! H) U; {$ ~: h5 y• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities! }7 B% X# S9 r
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders
( Z0 w1 e: U6 h3 ?0 W: x• communicate the value of the organization to the public
{2 D$ q+ N9 ~* a• identify community needs and trends
9 k: {5 s% {2 ^/ } H• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
5 H# z( R6 L6 ~! D5 |9 R• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups8 q$ r3 ~! _% _& ]! S% t1 y2 D; G
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.- O+ [: R/ B4 _1 _( l
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications3 p* v; I- K7 j- g! e/ R2 {
- University degree in a related field;
! [* N% M: P5 x: _) Y- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;+ y0 k3 i" e# `' r/ ~
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management; 2 p3 F0 a0 J6 z: {$ k9 ^
- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
# l& F6 z) q/ v# j* D8 Y6 n1 ^0 z- D, P ?$ A! [
Salary: N! O, l3 @* o
- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
