Senior Agency/Program Manager

•        reports directly to the Board of Directors
' X6 o8 ^6 ^3 ]•        is accountable to the Board for the achievement of the agency’s vision mission and goals
* Y2 Q: ~. a3 [( Q- m" p- g•        is fiscally accountable to the Board with all projects and administration of the agency within an approved budget by the Board
•        assist the Board in fund development planning and implementation

Agency
•        is accountable for effective administration of agency
. X* d* Y. i8 K0 M9 ?•        is accountable to meet community expectations and funders’ requirements
•        develop/review and administer operational policies and procedures
•        development and management of the programs budget
•        develop, implement and manage operational and programming budgets

Staff
1 a! ~- d0 R$ `0 K* R- f" X•        responsible for recruitment, selection, training and performance appraisal and termination of staff
•        provide leadership to staff and volunteers
8 r$ {; {0 N% \$ x! l! O•        provide day to day leadership to support staff in programming functions
" v+ r$ r6 d: Z$ ?•        monitor progress of agency service providers and coordinators
•        provide opportunities for staff development and growth

•        build and maintain collegial and strong working relationships with staff

Programs/Services
•        overall management of all agency projects/programs and services
•        design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities
$ E8 p$ m: G) i) l: C•        prepare, complete and submit all program proposals including budgets and reports to the funders and key stakeholders
  W& e" Y* w) O: O0 \•        set program priorities and directions
•        identify community and user needs and trends
•        implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends
8 ]: t0 f$ a1 `8 Y! }•        conduct program evaluation/survey/research
' e) J9 n$ g8 c$ u* F) D& W: ]8 X•        maintenance of appropriate reporting
•        delivery of program or activity to participants as required
•        build on knowledge of community resources in program development
•        ensure programs serve to enhance the coping capacities and well-being of people by removing inhumane systems or barriers and to empower people to work on positive changes in themselves and in others

•        act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities
' C0 d& T5 J9 g2 r9 t•        build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public  & funders
•        communicate the value of the organization to the public
" B+ |. x% {9 N$ k•        identify community needs and trends
•        coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
2 ?: P: A+ A7 K5 U6 {! W5 A•        advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
/ C8 m# A6 T4 M6 b) B2 l6 ^. s•        work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.
2 ]: D1 `% @3 K•        Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications
5 H3 j3 K; }' `; e; T6 I. y% \-        University degree in a related field;
-        Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
, \9 e, _: L3 ^. Y% D' j-        Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
5 u( A" V! P# G) ~, ]/ }-        2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

Salary
/ T, a- Y5 Z! ^, ~5 o  u-        $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits
