• design, develop and monitor client-centred programs and activities

• set program priorities and directions

• implement and monitor programs and community activities to meet identified needs and trends

External Relations
& [- q( A$ O4 i& c" I• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities

• communicate the value of the organization to the public
+ S, H$ q: \6 W6 E; T' Y; g( Q: m• identify community needs and trends
1 C O) J, Z1 `% b, n• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups
" ]3 y; y) d D5 U) M& S; W: U• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups, w/ k. `+ r4 Y' R( @' a9 t4 p
• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.- M& X9 C: F0 D
• Identify funding opportunities and resources that enhance the agency programs/services and staff

Qualifications
; W; @9 M$ C+ Y/ X9 w+ L( F1 }! O- University degree in a related field;
' i+ }9 V1 a' {5 P$ c- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;
7 H/ C& z j' g9 K+ j; v# t- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
, [! i7 C: h) \% V" ~- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization

- $50,000 - $55,000 + benefits ! g0 P/ I6 N' [( x) C2 R0 G
