• identify community and user needs and trends

• act as community liaison and cultural broker between the immigrant community and other communities0 g2 W i" y9 X$ } j# C9 p; H/ ^
• build, maintain strong relationships with all levels of governments, businesses, community groups, public & funders8 u' @# o1 s1 ~0 p- x0 x T& Z2 E
• communicate the value of the organization to the public

• coordinate and monitor significant programs through liaison/partnership with other community groups5 X6 X0 g# u' z4 ^' n7 k
• advocate, educate, promote cross-cultural respect & understanding of immigrants, visible minorities & other at risk or multi-risks groups
|: `5 R, T3 H# u• work with community and social agencies/groups to raise awareness of systemic issues affecting people from a broad socio-economic spectrum to social policy makers and to lobby for social changes in society, legislation and systems.

- University degree in a related field;
; e* j" r# I# _- ~5 N- Knowledge of leadership and management principles as relate to nonprofit / voluntary organization;+ B* m Y+ ^1 U0 ^# n
- Knowledge of human resources management, financial management, project management, fund development and organizational management;
; L# {6 m4 R. M+ y- 2 or more years of progressive management experience in a voluntary sector organization
