Position Title: Volunteer Coordinator + H ~; H3 r( E+ W7 ~
Hours of Work: Full time (35 hours per week)8 Q0 w. y! n6 h$ _

' E; L1 c j+ y% ]& V- submit information for community news 0 J; g) d# P' A2 | W) X
- provide volunteers to update membership database( d, m, L$ u9 R7 B( @
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
^+ A6 y0 `$ H! V7 [$ N5 q- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties I+ n& |9 ]* F
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties
( f' N4 P/ S/ Y9 P8 w2 G0 b) [/ v5 ^1 C- provide volunteers for various programs 7 a, v! |% r; J( i
- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual7 b% e; A' B7 C, y4 T
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation- h1 g, ?, d- e* c) F
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities8 y0 p0 d, j) R+ }* h+ L. K
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
: E4 N3 C; ~9 [! d9 l- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports
. e3 {% o- G# ~1 X( s- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed; |: E% D' g& G5 s; k5 b# c
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
. v% h9 S- _) V$ h- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)0 m8 o, w5 v* C. ?+ G0 g
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

3 u+ d+ x* S* R a" J; y- H/ B- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers

2 S' S) d+ V1 Q- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
& ]5 f' _9 q( I1 E3 }- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
6 T% [/ y% c( I/ m2 e/ D$ x& M5 K- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services) R2 m6 _% R' i B0 W3 _! w8 V
- leadership skills8 t. F& p6 v ~
