EDMONTON - A woman was killed Monday when the truck she was driving turned over and crushed her beneath its roof.

The woman was driving a gravel truck two kilometres north of Westlock when it veered off the road. The truck rolled across Highway 44, trapping and crushing the woman in the cab.% X# ~ Z; d! |( v* B

Audrey Wiedrick, 57, from Westlock, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to RCMP. She was not wearing a seat belt.
0 w0 u! U$ Z& e* M/ K, MWiedrick worked for Alberta Highway Services and was hauling a water tank and asphalt packer when the accident occurred, said Jason Maloney, spokesman for the Alberta occupational health and safety office.0 p+ C* R9 x% o! D" J) n, U

It is not known what caused the woman to drive the truck off the road. Occupational health and safety and the RCMP are investigating.% l' P" r- g5 M8 |% u& s& Q J* K

"The truck is considered a workplace, that was the driver's workplace," Maloney said, explaining why they are investigating.
