Be Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
- p, G: W3 X$ C; S! Y2 Owork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
) U# N) A6 L% E1 T- H6 `prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
. [" m/ b0 R6 G& T' g. ?2 K' aChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
6 N- Z, M( O Qartist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
& c" G I; ^% D: ]$ |' kEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for# T5 v7 n* _' s- a
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the/ Y8 g. V1 X) k' B$ g. r
recyclables.9 Q; w# t2 v' g; y0 O
Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
4 c, A0 e& B. F/ G2 s& H4 Kpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
4 x \$ w- ?& {; L! WHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing' v0 O" E' G# b j
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
9 o% A9 L1 f" M* {4 X- Chours are part of this crew’s duties.
2 i G/ U0 Q8 P% i! A# hInformation: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the! s5 d$ R3 K% P d8 t" P
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide
; c9 i. n% C+ }& O: C O* W1 tprograms to visitors to the festival.' D4 Z1 O! g8 I. O# n" j
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
# J# ~8 [) D- v5 Veveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
& Z- `+ ^! Q1 J* v/ j5 ^Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed3 G1 Q* ^7 D- |
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the/ H9 X7 }+ K: h, J( ]: Z
festival.; X$ h+ g* k' p% \
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is/ X. T7 {! s/ O' n
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
5 b/ y! t* g& y4 K9 B0 S) Rare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
, [9 c- a, ?) Y4 u: v8 q1 MStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
8 D+ ~/ z$ z: A+ J6 gand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
$ R$ g9 \. t& y5 J: mTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
! k% v. a3 M$ t) ?; G/ ]required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as6 Y' s1 `4 o* J8 m% g. s
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
# _8 p6 }3 Q" [# t- Istaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
