2000. The Chief Returning Officer shall be recommended to Students'

/ z, ^2 x# b& T0 B; U3) To choose the Deputy Returning Officer(s) and assign their duties.

" Z6 M, ~6 \, O" @( Zadequate poll staff and situating polls at appropriate locations

5) To oversee the physical count of the ballots during elections/ & v- F" C H& K+ G$ E
referenda.

6) To report the result of an election/referendum to the appropriate 2 a% z( X7 e: O: C
parties.

To enforce budgetary regulations as stipulated in the Elections

10) To be available to all parties during elections/referenda for a
% T9 T0 i& I8 C+ kminimum of four (4) working hours a day, between Monday to Friday,
/ O# X* u5 S" e, bfrom the first working day after nominations close until the last day
0 b5 X$ F, \; M. y4 n Zof voting. These hours are to be posted in advance.

! z0 ]% p1 i5 b8 l# j e8 Z+ W- P11) To act as the arbitrator in any dispute which may arise during 4 |8 K8 d! B+ Z; l8 \
the course of an election/referendum.

12) To ensure that a cost effective and accurate ballot counting

13) To submit to Students' Council, prior to April 30, a final report

14) To organize a minimum of one (1) forum to be held during the week : g7 N4 Q% |- c) V/ v; u0 n

15) Perform other job related duties as required by the Council

1) Must be an undergrad student registered in at least one (1) course e8 c( N. x/ p- f( o* c
for each of the terms of Winter Session and shall be a full Students'
j+ n7 r) C! l6 cUnion member.

w4 |: `2 X; e$ ?, l0 E0 L- A2) Must have some experience in student elections.1 J: k1 x, W- G
3 h& ~! N0 B- P- x! b
3) Shall not concurrently hold a position on Students' Council, or
8 B5 w3 K& O9 Q$ K# `! _any of its standing boards, committees, or any other paid position ! {7 J P" H/ |) C
with the Students' Union.

4) Willingness and ability to work varying hours.* H' K- r1 p h0 B9 X2 C
