ages 14-24, we foster collaboration between motivated youth,

/ `+ w6 P* J; {! U; uPosition Abstract: The Executive Director provides day-to-day management6 |& \5 W; P" V, o* l4 |9 H
and leadership of Alberta's YouthVOLUNTEER! (AYV!). The ED is a& V8 f, Q7 H# q6 r/ p8 B/ k
non-voting member and champions youth volunteerism in Alberta. The ED

; R$ p9 G. z( _policies to ensure ethical and professional management of organization's4 c. @5 `2 b1 p" q4 [1 S

Primary Responsibilities: Helps Board of Directors in developing a
; O8 t# e: V' f; T# L1 V Avision & strategic plan; Establish strong relationships & collaborative
* T6 n, K- F& U: S. |arrangements with community groups, sponsors, governments, schools,; L. ~1 f9 K. |: A H# J8 e' E
media/other stakeholders to achieve the goals of AYV!; Prepare reports+ y/ j7 V9 X ]1 ~4 V
for the Board; Assist the Board in drafting policies/prepare procedures
) i) M" o6 Y' J4 W) _! Pto implement the organizational policies.

( g" r; \, f, APLUS: Ensure good record keeping; Ensure funders' grants are stewarded1 h2 ^) T. o( j
as per their requirements; Plan, implement and evaluate programs and( P: q1 S4 {, P0 v p
services; Recruit, interview, select & coach staff/volunteers that have
' q/ j' L6 W8 X5 ~: Tthe right abilities to help further the organization's mission.

In addition: Prepare budget; Search & secure adequate; oversees the9 g) I7 J) `; r) |
development of fundraising plans/writing funding proposals; Administer
0 ?1 v9 B! e! l3 bthe funds of the organization & monitor the monthly cash flow; Ensure
P& }& V2 J8 Fthat bookkeeping/accounting practices are followed; Process accounts
/ g5 w2 c# r o, t. Z- D# T qpayable; Develop communication/marketing tools to increase awareness of+ P# H4 ?7 f3 G/ ~$ y
the organization & its programs; Work with website contractor/developer.

including a Board of Directors, non-profit organizations, government

. O2 D. A) \9 y) f: norganizational financial management and CRA requirements; Ability to
* {: {+ v( ]# e; [work in a self-directed work environment; Experience planning and' D {7 V0 E1 R( g" m) }+ A8 }" }
