and leadership of Alberta's YouthVOLUNTEER! (AYV!). The ED is a
$ x E) j! h4 T3 dnon-voting member and champions youth volunteerism in Alberta. The ED$ K9 i5 F r3 p- c- E; M5 \1 R/ g; F/ _
works within the structures set by the organization's bylaws and
" r* R1 y' H9 b$ g+ U: N8 Kpolicies to ensure ethical and professional management of organization's2 G) N8 U9 S3 F% C' }

, h8 R! q/ b. H5 QPrimary Responsibilities: Helps Board of Directors in developing a' t% w9 U; B' W3 `$ p
vision & strategic plan; Establish strong relationships & collaborative

media/other stakeholders to achieve the goals of AYV!; Prepare reports& s/ `6 u9 k* t; g S$ ]
for the Board; Assist the Board in drafting policies/prepare procedures2 ?! k/ n" ~, e1 D
to implement the organizational policies./ G% C1 {& ?7 D
( U+ ^+ E9 n# z1 \4 K6 q7 ~PLUS: Ensure good record keeping; Ensure funders' grants are stewarded
+ \+ g6 D5 D; c, Q' g% ias per their requirements; Plan, implement and evaluate programs and
4 M3 p6 h; I; i" Q, zservices; Recruit, interview, select & coach staff/volunteers that have

that bookkeeping/accounting practices are followed; Process accounts# u. L& B! m' A9 I8 |
payable; Develop communication/marketing tools to increase awareness of

Key Qualifications: Experience working with a number of different groups
% g* x. H1 E8 J7 U7 E4 {$ Uincluding a Board of Directors, non-profit organizations, government9 W* ]3 O: c' z% d) T
partners sponsors, employees, volunteers, and youth; Understanding of
3 E% ^5 s" C+ m9 A% I) F. ]organizational financial management and CRA requirements; Ability to9 d" Y: k+ B4 ?% p1 A
work in a self-directed work environment; Experience planning and
8 o- n8 W4 i4 v9 l v% {6 J( j8 emanaging projects and budgets.
