$ _! n$ e, H7 K, l" eThe Organization: Harcourt House Arts Centre is an artist-run, charitable non-profit organization that promotes contemporary visual art to interested individuals/organizations by providing education, exhibitions & resources.

$ P2 B! x( T& R4 d9 EPosition Abstract: position was created to expand awareness/participation in Harcourt House Arts Centre art ed. programs, as well as to create accessible programming for children/youth to enhance our existing art education and enrichment activities.

$ m u M+ }! _, kTasks & Responsibilities: to run the 2007 Art Expressed summer art camp from July - August 2007. This initiative will be a continuation of last year's program and involves initial development, marketing plan, co-ordinating logistics, designing/preparing the art education brochure, day to day administration, taking registrations/payments, scheduling and running the art activities & day camp promotions.# i9 p0 B4 y( W2 \6 R

PLUS: continued on-site liaisons with Harcourt staff/instructors to ensure smooth operations. And, reporting to the Art Education Manager/Executive Director, assisting with duties involving Harcourt's year-round community art education program.1 |8 f& a9 n9 y' ^9 ?! v4 B
5 M, P$ _$ W6 q+ \. d. LSuccessful Candidate: Experience in teaching visual arts, or with administering an arts program. Position will require an ability to work independently, as well as being part of a team. This person should be familiar with the Public School Education system & have an interest in curriculum requirements (visual arts). 9 d8 E& H6 D/ O
1 \% B' h. v5 ^1 l/ W/ B$ r6 [Qualifications/Skills: currently enrolled in, planning to attend, or recently graduated from related post-secondary education or training; computer literate/able to work in a MAC environment, write copy for promotions and design promotional materials; creativity is essential; experience working with children an asset.
