22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
; T8 v2 O! I( p/ X4 w, i" vOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
1 i9 j* S1 C% e: J; m8 Cprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

. t; s2 v' z  h- {- ]8 \3 n( y& ]8 `DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
4 w. H2 C" K# N- a/ K. a1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.

' G, n' Z* F5 H  \% P8 b% U3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
3 X) n/ e0 ~1 p7 C* leach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
6 Z# d/ ^. p3 J) d- j3 i2 Zattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
" x+ p( W  z# V0 qseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

3 _+ S$ \4 r! f& A6 t; Z5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
! i! z5 K" j: S+ i* Hstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

* V- c" [! ?8 \6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
6 t$ `3 O- s% U, j0 Y, aaccordance with Students' Union policies.

( h8 E6 r4 [. s, M1 r8 G7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
8 N. d  ^9 W0 x) e To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
% t% }3 s( v2 Z$ v5 MSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.


. B( Z1 o6 ~% Q# v* @0 j, nQUALIFICATIONS:
& U% d/ _" w: H/ g% `7 W8 ~1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

/ L9 x$ V3 W3 ^0 @. }1 N, t2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
! O3 J9 T0 w. b8 [operation.

, n9 q) ]# ]8 U- b7 H3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
: Y. @0 A; r) s5 Waccordance with Students' Union policy.
) k, g; a& P. ~3 ]
  `9 C# R, l& t: E1 m; X6 d4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
2 ]% ~9 L/ m4 iUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
7 X( ^. V9 a9 Mattitude.

Union position
Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
