22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
* Y3 D9 i/ Z  ]7 p: ?% NOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

+ ]' B. p. @' L: A6 a$ HDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
( ~% H- P/ v7 r2 x1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
$ ?$ |+ Z! Z% n( F, ubar and debit floats.
  B( P* F% k9 D. A/ _  t9 l
( j  K) R/ I& }+ j" [# H3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
each shift, and upon closing.

2 A3 a- t3 C$ H$ q; M3 [4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
4 U7 C) S0 R5 t( I$ M" _. Yattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

, U/ P% z3 I* I. W: J5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
3 U+ ^9 [) Y6 r0 Xstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
9 J/ r- ^# {1 \* A+ F1 Oproducts, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

- R) @# @0 s& m& }6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
9 E# E+ c5 F8 u& Vmonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
2 B- o) j- }- V, S1 R2 y9 A! thigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
$ t" H+ ^, V5 |. l To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

* K6 o, M1 G! s6 I% o9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

8 z1 g; G9 D2 K. d% U1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

8 U5 D! b. b) T: c8 {' T: h7 R$ s2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
3 b) i% R5 @: Z) y3 {operation.

3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.
  d7 C9 k$ C$ |8 R" z- C8 t
" m5 [" W  O2 s; _* D/ ~4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

( G% q9 y, N/ V  a0 g5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
  V! r7 I( Y9 {4 n/ Y( oattitude.

purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
