$ X/ K/ I9 e! ?9 V0 A# A# O  mJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
$ v" B( N+ `/ c  |2 \Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

4 h- R1 E8 n1 ?- V- Y) S% c: N3 MDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
, ?: {7 f8 i2 I; B, @8 Y, K1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
beverage items.
4 O8 p  D  _0 x. I% k3 Y, k
! T+ ]5 n- a/ _" n. [2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
1 G" A& [* Q! j4 I; K2 l. Y& Kbar and debit floats.

% ^2 P6 N/ E. x" j- [  W$ R' j3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
$ W+ T) L$ w0 z. Ieach shift, and upon closing.

0 c7 ]( U( T5 l& l# }9 c0 ?& ?4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
! o$ Z9 t( g0 j, X7 Gattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
0 [. W" Y' H4 O8 }9 Iseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
1 C% K& }0 g0 e$ T2 ^monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

2 i2 f4 i2 D' G7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
. k8 ]2 ^3 L) Q) \5 X5 t To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

+ n5 Q' G+ _: W* h9 I1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
1 |. J- n' g  d$ n$ G3 O8 r
2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.
. Q7 I+ {9 }- b
" s, c: b) J- F% \  k: U5 T1 r3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
' Y3 |/ ~4 H( L; Maccordance with Students' Union policy.

' V0 q3 G8 R1 U; S. t: N; q! l4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
! `# ^; ~  r* X2 x; U1 J' S  L/ I
5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
; E6 _, ]) q, s1 u- e! g4 A" s# lUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic

Wage: $7.73/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
