/ L; P; I! ?% c5 u+ ~  _. f22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
& }& x  v& b, ]7 G7 T: Y% b) iOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
/ o; m/ ~: M) E' x" y- L9 H0 uprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
% h- M& _4 W  ~) {& @cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:$ i. Z* J* N4 B4 k
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
5 T& ~5 J$ a& O( t1 Hbeverage items.( |# `9 W; n1 u! {. A1 g
7 Q9 d9 I4 H6 ~* Z: [: m
2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  ! x9 C+ s: a, {) j% r( U5 X% N
bar and debit floats.+ m6 H0 T6 U3 s: T, r9 j/ [( x8 m

; I7 r: `& H. d& H3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  ( g3 a( G; r0 ^
each shift, and upon closing.! S6 Z9 B# k  q  N" w0 a# U
4 e  x$ ~4 Y: ?! f% I1 d
4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  & R! l5 k- U1 l1 o. J; t/ q% P
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
' H% A! M8 o. l3 m9 _# `2 V) I' }seating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.! y- F' `8 d  m) g
) |( }; _5 a: O" ]. I. y8 S
5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
( G% H0 Q- x# _3 r7 cstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  6 i$ j) _  c' A' @# l5 O
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.8 S0 a2 n3 U& v' y- c

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  0 A0 J: ]3 [* a8 U$ x/ @
monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
0 d. m( @4 B. f) j/ l& P: Uhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
% W, c$ \5 |0 z0 m4 Q9 |accordance with Students' Union policies.
/ W& r1 `9 U; i0 U. ~3 t' F1 i0 r, j  t/ F
7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
# c: H" a9 a8 A3 \1 Uhigh standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
' W# c- C0 I- `, Q5 m4 Y0 P1 v8 m5 m* P To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  - F# N2 t3 q) ^, T8 }8 [, y( j; ?# s
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.
( ^# n/ Q9 s& w8 X6 T# @  c/ r+ A8 c2 K) S
9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
" a8 M" \4 c" I; bSenior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.1 y$ ?% g5 }+ [; \: s$ v$ Y

QUALIFICATIONS:
# f2 F* V. Q- `7 V* j+ f1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
: S+ I+ G; C1 P4 N
5 R5 h4 W& H; L8 W2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
+ q0 s$ x& _: V" ~. j% M: `operation.; H% E8 I$ U5 ]4 z
9 P: C; F; f. X- f0 K% I! p
3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  3 ?; z# C" U6 t0 h5 K, p- P# v( F1 Q
accordance with Students' Union policy.

+ d9 c* O% F2 ]$ o, n4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.1 ~2 Q: ?5 q' B( n; ]) B( {

% I$ X" i; Y( c7 [5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
9 Z$ Y, H  `& h1 SUnion staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  9 i( l: c% f- b$ Z
attitude.
