11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
. u+ m: t9 x* {4 lThursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
( [& Q; u( y9 s! kcustomer service and room cleanliness.

. d, r1 E& Z/ L, }! M/ |6 o3 V7 P9 m
) }6 K, D; ]- k! b0 v# y1 WDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

2 s$ _5 u& a% h2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
) }9 ?5 O, z' B$ W! I: k
0 ^- ^: t' ?9 {1 \* P  h3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
" f+ z% g5 ?0 r' I0 K1 Band ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
intervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
# t4 ^; F5 ?; c" m9 B! O* Z5 i* p6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
) V) J0 G$ E' {- zAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

' j  W" c' E1 V0 G0 [2 N1 pQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
0 a+ J" l* X# h  z
) N  n4 D# L; y1 {( O5 A2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

; |. }1 P! ~8 [; B3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
& n- u  U5 u% H- _! r" Qpolicy.
& F5 \3 N# L. a/ C1 ~- p% _
4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
) C! g7 C( e6 ccard transactions.

& w( d6 ?/ Y9 i$ {# C! ~" y5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
) @3 @! J) C- F3 @; l9 z' a$ ?& y/ Vprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
