SERVER (RATT)

- k6 }* M: M, a) K( Y11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
  I# [- R$ r' l7 N- gThursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
) L0 ]+ F, p7 @, d/ r- I" Fcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
# p7 c# b9 q1 C1 Horders.
9 m" C/ u7 b2 z7 Y( H. [) O& w( \; E
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.
% a: i& \" O! G* a0 ^+ R( c
5 H' K$ z/ j) B2 L3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

# }- Q+ R; s/ S; Z2 D4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
8 I7 P) P5 `% ]! H' Aincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
2 N/ R8 C. \5 Y; K% Qand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
/ p! y: N9 n: N4 y' h0 f7 t% mintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

0 Y, e9 \4 e5 t# |4 G# v$ WQUALIFICATIONS;
' l5 P, {: \5 w1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

; n+ n: D* F; T2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.
) d; Y! ?, D+ D
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
5 A- z0 b! Q" ~' w& Zpolicy.

$ S6 v" K# D/ s, ]2 v! @% Q/ ^4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
6 t) t+ N" o) u% |card transactions.

2 `9 V4 H* D# s* N' D" g5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
, m4 o7 S7 m3 t2 L6 nprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
