11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
: s. C; d$ T6 S1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
4 s! O/ l$ x4 sorders.
6 E0 o! C* O+ }4 q
) H' d$ K3 r/ X2 w0 L5 U# H2 Q1 d2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
% y# K' \5 `6 m/ j* _high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
2 [7 f! s2 l2 F2 Saccordance with Students' Union policies.

1 e. x& P( C" j7 W' V3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
4 C( q' e2 W* B" d- q7 e% A
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
# K* k4 \& G' oand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
" k- j8 M6 {' Y7 a1 Laction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
+ Q1 F- I: S, dintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
4 W- y9 J* b/ Z' R) X$ hAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
4 F" C# V6 m, W' f7 F# `+ S$ vManager.

QUALIFICATIONS;
9 d7 K0 q5 ~3 b" x9 O% i4 \+ g- P1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

+ `1 x: H& c: Y2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
6 R( Z8 b) O5 T' I' Doperation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

( }! \2 Z4 a; w( W) ]$ t4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
3 U0 Q4 K$ ]2 |professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
