11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and  
Thursdays

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
. o9 p7 w( T  X! X4 S! H, Y. hcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

) g- s  l3 ^' l; c1 m, iDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
2 n2 _) U9 U# w* G6 c: a/ G7 E1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.
, d, I+ E/ a' ^: i. Y5 x
2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
/ \* S8 v3 s  S# Z- _3 k. n# ?$ Vhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
6 T  y" h3 j  V# P4 _+ K+ l/ Uaccordance with Students' Union policies.

7 p$ q* N6 F* X" U1 j! N3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
0 F5 _4 N8 c% i/ w1 v, ^total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
8 c7 k& k' F; v# m* R$ l8 Mincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

) |" X2 M$ J0 Y9 i9 J1 \- r$ A5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
5 s  n. Q$ [$ `4 N5 Waction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
4 z. a+ F! {/ lintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
& O1 {$ |8 W8 Y9 n% j$ rAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

  M. g' x7 ?9 B: ?4 `' _. t! E$ D7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.


QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
/ I$ N6 G9 D2 E1 v3 p& o- ]% _
2 G9 a3 w; [$ b# f/ c) @; ?" n; t2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
+ c0 V) X$ }  q6 boperation.

: v* B' Z& t. j8 x% C. E8 X3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
& T; [- }6 ]8 Z7 N8 G. z  @$ Spolicy.

4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
( p6 i/ c/ _1 v1 Xcard transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
