11.5 hours a week - Hours from 2:45 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and

JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
0 U! m0 F) S# i% ?5 pcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
customer service and room cleanliness.

* [+ F7 D2 |# ~9 |) g$ o+ s4 `# k
9 A- U8 R3 ]; Q+ p, |$ ~3 y6 sDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
6 c0 A5 `7 a! b6 o6 P" ?# C& s8 \- E1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

: t5 k& h5 b2 T: l3 r  |2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
! D/ y0 U0 a3 R3 a. Eand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
+ f& G9 l2 y  P; kaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
# @- f; Q1 v0 O' ]/ T3 G4 jintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
( h. b1 G1 }+ ^) \Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

$ |' R7 L. |# E$ t7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

9 T# o2 O* g/ `  [; w" b: u1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
4 E- s# N) K- l- J- \9 ~
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
' [- ~; H) Y9 Koperation.
& w: O' W, Q* J+ H3 ?& }
+ }+ i( s  S) l! a. m6 D& p3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
. Z* H* w, U; D% Y$ R9 p6 n1 ppolicy.

5 I. m' n* n: P$ u  k4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
6 A& q7 ], e4 p; @" kcard transactions.

$ I3 K) k7 P+ g8 B( p9 c6 e5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
, G( n: A1 z0 ^- b( {professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

Wage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food  
purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
