& V& U: z6 v/ b1 t" Y; ^Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

+ h8 e9 W3 h" Z4 w" p5 a* F( v# l7 pHours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
0 l' d/ q4 ?; y. M- K- n3 K1 U- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
9 n! e+ o( [. o0 G# Nthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
7 H/ u& J1 G5 q3 |5 r7 Wvenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
# g$ o% u' X& a- Getc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
3 l7 F+ _7 ]. Fparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
: z$ N! y  N* t' i5 t8 K) a6 Z1 ntheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
$ v' @! W+ {- Z/ i) ~( q8 Atheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
' i4 L( t, y) o% b7 evenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
8 |- R0 p( A- g. C; Dexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

/ Q6 Z) a9 \' K8 e8 p$ oQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
0 f  w. D* N6 H. B5 bCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
# k* U2 q9 C5 g% y" v* m- ea variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
7 C8 ]- f7 m: [8 p" O, g0 i/ I: R8 j  ^of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
" l: J* }1 X& D- z7 P' \4 k5 bskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
