  f5 m5 C' n1 l1 ~7 s! ISalary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
4 r6 ?: e6 t1 o5 Zthe student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
% @# M: C: a1 s$ XCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
9 m( m. G. B+ b5 v" P5 N+ hetc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
( F  G2 G9 _) l& V" z1 N# Cparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
$ R! r0 t) O! M% A; j8 dexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
" N* f# A0 K( r: I+ Isuch as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
" l7 {' T3 u" I% H' L- }4 Y5 xpresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

4 V3 ^; P2 Z4 a# a3 x3 j0 g: nQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
: K$ H/ ]# h/ z6 L! sfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
, `8 b2 M: C+ y! i% U- s  ldemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
: Q6 R! U6 m& u+ fof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
/ `- M3 Z9 m# y4 i7 VExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
8 p. n7 `% h0 Y' a: B/ s, `experience coordinating group activities an asset.
