the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the

Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
& e0 `8 o/ j; Y9 Y6 u% LCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus3 I8 ?& E; Q! y/ p2 s5 A0 ~
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,/ d& B; J) `- X# H
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for a* a, v, z0 U, u. @9 [
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
- H# ?, s, {1 i' u" g6 wtheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
1 e9 a7 E9 Y; ^7 X" htheir program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,3 ]2 w2 \- _, Z8 E* O
assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
4 u: n9 b3 Q9 [( L. Evenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
+ e. L: B: Z2 w* v$ Poutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
! h! _3 X8 w. Iexcursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
0 k. h8 n; R. I! Fexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
2 H; E: W1 R- I# O" Bfunctions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents

' ~% h7 u0 Z i1 OQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in& Y9 `4 F7 T1 |' R* U
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate# n0 i$ @* x6 x) O0 @( t5 u. h
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,' X0 [6 J' K$ V7 V/ r
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake9 a& ~$ U( V0 K% l* ?+ c; L
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those6 ~ N/ @# v- k7 C
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
5 X0 f+ Q! j, m3 Mskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
