Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at3 W0 A, N: d; a9 o
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus+ W$ j" L3 ]6 [+ Z% V7 @" P
venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
. A! I6 a" C3 ]$ \etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
+ }$ h4 A$ W! s$ M3 b; i% N. ~participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
n. y( q( Z+ Z+ g. {$ |: ]their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during: o3 G5 E4 g7 s/ \" M: w8 v; U
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
$ ?3 w& ^6 @9 Q, i' n% |; ?: r& M" ?assisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking4 }2 J2 Y' [) u8 ?# p( U
venue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city

excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night+ q4 k& d5 t' V
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or

presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in. F" [# }4 o4 }9 Z5 \
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate6 q; F2 D9 {# t' U$ e: j
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
% v0 r g3 h& J% U; @6 Gdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake; j, H0 H3 J4 C$ ], `
a variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those5 x# a# [1 b& w- H2 O
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management1 M5 O1 R! j0 M$ l
skills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
! k! e" {" l( _5 c2 \8 w1 UExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
! d* J0 W9 b! l# m* U% Nexperience coordinating group activities an asset. 0 C% _, A4 `) \3 l/ j
