The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently
recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.
9195.  

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
technicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
" L$ y3 O& V1 |- ]for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
7 A3 e* B$ Y1 }5 @2 n% Winclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
( J. w# \: I1 K7 S& g8 v6 }compounds by chromatography.
& a* R# z( f5 J7 F- @) U
Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
: l" E; \) Y+ L7 xChemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.

hope to work in these areas.
