Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and- R. `. {) \$ n7 }- y/ s7 a# B
weekend hours.* q/ h' J" M) b: K& ^2 ^# h; `
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer- v- T! A7 H- O* h" m
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the: x3 @4 I1 q1 `
centre.2 Q* I7 |3 ~* w: P5 N8 z% s1 Z
These responsibilities include:% D( x: l$ v0 P( n
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.+ j* p3 I, @0 V! S. n: o
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
3 k4 a9 v! a, N( `-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and% p8 @6 A& S, t& \
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to ; c6 x- e& S! i: W$ l! g
facilities’ maintenance, etc. 6 F5 t v. j" l8 ^" |
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
7 @7 V) C1 F6 L+ D* mclients’ files etc.

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, - T2 U# E+ E" \0 ?1 K& F
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination : A' L: \. I2 w9 R/ S D( d1 Q
of education, training and /or experience. 6 j' I0 W2 N( z$ J" ]0 x3 I0 a
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
. C5 \/ z% H6 N-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system., q p! y n5 P! h8 y3 L
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word, G% L6 [! x b1 q4 \# Z k
and Excel.

Assets:
