Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and1 c7 e* |# }2 ^/ Q3 X
weekend hours.
, \1 F# n% R6 E! w8 x! ^You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer- L! u* e; a& k1 y8 x2 I
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
% t3 ~ k6 O( q" ^$ dcentre.6 E/ t: w# u4 x# W, H
These responsibilities include:
% K/ D& I9 \7 e$ S-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.$ o+ c# Z+ e- F; l; Y! L8 q
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.+ C7 B$ Y& W* w B
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
6 r9 r9 L+ H. F0 Zrenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
7 k7 x2 e: f2 nfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
# a; U$ b' W8 M1 L* R-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic ) s5 T6 O1 g9 k9 Q
clients’ files etc. & A3 @% B: p" p! B. ?, ~4 ]

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
& t. V& z& d# b0 seducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination ) Y3 z6 a' G) |" a. C
of education, training and /or experience. " ?5 h$ S, M7 m+ b# n
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
# I" S b* t0 M0 K" @* I-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.2 v0 G% b1 g, ?' v) m0 Q5 U
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
5 o2 ]* w' d; l: i0 V/ i$ |and Excel.
3 l" Q! k0 l7 C6 f! J; R-Experience using and updating an information database. ) B4 z+ {3 S$ ?0 n

-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA& e0 f& s# D$ j# C# j: e
