Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and

" C0 { _) L" ]% E: XYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer% b! l: y2 R' y6 N" L0 ^
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the3 L1 I: W Z- e2 f: D$ W1 ?# B
centre.
' }1 D2 ~0 `$ O* ^0 fThese responsibilities include:4 F5 @" y1 y: G3 n* c8 {3 |5 h
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.3 E) n+ z' j! f4 x
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.* K; X* o# o) Z3 o1 B. K8 L, f% F3 a
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and2 V' I! `% r7 _% N. A
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to ' C2 x. K: h/ _4 m7 d
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
. z$ S! D1 o) p7 l) r-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic 5 e" o: w3 B( o) a( D T! [$ s+ M9 W
clients’ files etc.

! D4 i- {4 ]" ]' U2 e% D2 u-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
+ H1 D) h! w" Q/ T! a4 Z. R8 weducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination 6 y: x/ r+ T, U0 u$ D$ ?. E
of education, training and /or experience.
0 ]; X7 ?, {) r$ `) b, I3 \Knowledge/Technical competencies:* Q! z9 T# x: Q* ]! t: H
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
/ L2 l- |5 L7 d e8 j2 w-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word

-Experience using and updating an information database. + w* D9 j. }- I4 L4 F) G

-Experience in using MS Access.
