Hourly rate: $20 ($40,101 per annum prorated at 12 hours per week)

Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and# F) I! O. X/ Q- W6 }5 q+ L
weekend hours.
* ^6 P, ^: g$ Y) AYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer! ]/ o1 z7 d- ^- n, N" |% f1 ]
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
+ t5 s5 e1 o" t; N9 Zcentre.6 i) O6 _. E$ q" f
These responsibilities include:
6 X+ j" U# t5 Q& V-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
( H7 W/ G( N b( p5 k: A-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
% d1 V y% p y* F-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and: P q) Y+ M, _! A. q5 E5 n) v
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
4 B. Q- e# w. Cfacilities’ maintenance, etc.
% e1 N3 y$ z' a9 b( d) p-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic 3 |, t5 L9 H+ N H% X
clients’ files etc. ; y1 Y6 i) Q& {+ p3 a

Education:
1 n* z1 B" ]" Z9 O-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
6 c0 ^- z: w( T5 k5 { ~7 ~education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination ; j: c( \' X! T, u8 t( P5 g
of education, training and /or experience. / Q, F0 w5 u8 }* ~8 { L, y
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
2 ~ O$ x% b1 j; h! w-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.6 c/ c, w4 X1 }; P/ A
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
) W4 q/ V$ s. v$ G/ M iand Excel. & k, K5 _! |; i+ O8 y3 [
-Experience using and updating an information database. 8 o* ?% d' W* l
5 ?1 B( i8 p+ j7 ~* c: yAssets:- n8 U' d7 r2 `1 C" ]
-Experience in using MS Access.

-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA) F4 O3 `: S3 b$ L* a1 R
