CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
$ w5 H9 m  F, X& }" j+ Y5 H: s
' ~) E- U) o6 x& V9 [4 N· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
& O# x) K3 d/ K: y  T/ k& ?! _
· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
, n. }$ @6 v* M. S$ g; W
6 m  w1 b- T* Y+ W· Operate manual and automatic shifts

/ c% B% a6 ^6 V5 z0 E6 V· Secure loads safely

) F" y& y! S2 z' [. l) P· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
# k; ]" H3 ?8 M& s. u$ ~* U* zQualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

3 s  t8 B' r. k· Valid Class 1 license

· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification

3 Z4 K( A$ F% ]2 L3 h! ]' s· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
- M+ v" O% a/ U4 o2 l, [
· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

  s! A8 M1 M7 u" J8 e· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
