Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

* V' e7 z: K+ r0 qKey Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

* v9 C! N: w9 G  e· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
' ]# g5 v  a" }1 L9 E4 d
· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

2 y# o* O" u0 E$ R9 R· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
+ |2 q' w! d, a. a- i4 a
· Minimum 3 years experience

' p; n5 z  Z7 X5 J  V$ k· Valid Class 1 license

; j0 a! r1 }* d( A! r$ I: @' c· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
; Y* _% W' H0 ]1 c
, k- \8 X# F8 V· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

& V. R! L2 M% \9 g) z· Excellent organizational and time management skills

$ z2 I8 l9 ?6 i6 T4 X" G$ v· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

  a- b2 D0 m" z: e5 ^3 ?· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
