CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

3 E1 ^3 e0 J7 B5 T: _) A! k· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

4 _9 T6 q+ K1 I' Q1 r! y0 p( w* z· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections
8 S, S' j( z$ o/ B. l. e
8 v" W) O, H' k- C· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
; V& D# `8 G: E6 |: w
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s
9 @5 a% S. T1 s, S4 I$ u
· Operate manual and automatic shifts
# {1 p+ c0 M1 C/ G
· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
0 m3 q. j: \; u
· Minimum 3 years experience
9 \$ N- s3 w- T  J1 [& l; C0 |! O
· Valid Class 1 license
3 }% G" w8 w6 Q/ E' E( H+ }
, L- |" b$ ]2 s$ z% V· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

5 L! l# ^& w5 O, x7 ~· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations
' O* {  _6 _7 f: w) t
· Excellent organizational and time management skills
3 e" J. ]  W) l' u1 l2 b3 H! @4 B
# t2 w( Q! {  M9 A( ?· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

3 r. O# N' ~" B5 Y· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

2 m9 Q$ }, S- p" i+ H· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

8 n+ m& J& g! u+ M· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
