CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
, r; a7 Z& q6 i" n& a2 A1 ~( b2 Z8 l8 i
' F# M& P# f  D9 j( _, a· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

4 [- d& c3 }7 t# k, g, @· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order

9 e* ]/ S  Q2 n! k6 b! h. ^. j· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

8 p4 Y* q. Z( v/ C; `1 z4 W· Operate manual and automatic shifts

* d0 q  r( K" Q' R· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

· Minimum 3 years experience

· Valid Class 1 license

1 G2 Z" ~$ q3 |  L/ r· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

· Load securement certification
; w$ m$ O, i* b% T: z! m* \
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

; N- r4 [! _1 p0 {( w& K· Excellent organizational and time management skills

7 C( C! U. v. H$ \* {· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

3 {5 I4 A$ G: A9 x" A( `8 g/ Y· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
