EDMONTON — Southgate Centre today began a $108 million expansion to accommodate more than 30 new retailers and restaurants.$ b8 K) e( f8 h- H% p

The two-year project, facing 111th Street, will add 126,000 square feet of leasable space on the ground floor — and two levels of parking above.! [7 A4 _0 O% N! o" [1 V1 s1 ^( A7 y
1 l6 E; Z- r" t4 P _" N1 \“Part of the redevelopment will include enhanced site lighting and closed-circuit TV security systems monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Southgate general manager Paul Fairbridge./ J% K5 ^- _# H. Y5 s; t- D& V
