EDMONTON — Southgate Centre today began a $108 million expansion to accommodate more than 30 new retailers and restaurants.

T, j, E& f, u4 I9 X) FThe two-year project, facing 111th Street, will add 126,000 square feet of leasable space on the ground floor — and two levels of parking above.* s' a1 h3 J! U7 t8 e4 E, C
7 O, {3 G* B8 z“Part of the redevelopment will include enhanced site lighting and closed-circuit TV security systems monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” said Southgate general manager Paul Fairbridge.9 ~/ Z7 i1 q( f
