To become a probationary driver you must:

7 _8 V3 k# f8 u/ h. ~% d V/ ?Be 16 years of age or older. 5 y$ M% W/ f: C. r9 c
Pass the standard Alberta Class 5 road test.

Probationary Conditions：9 e! W/ a& U) U; Y* Z5 d$ U6 C
% H* g0 K1 a/ `- G$ _% V
1。ust spend a minimum of two years as a probationary driver. 9 l6 w F4 _0 l9 O; L& L/ {
2。No more passengers than seat belts. + ~- Q, v" U3 E4 J r/ @. g
3。Fewer demerit points (8) are allowed than for fully licensed drivers (15).

$ I, U4 u. V$ Z( m; H5。No upgrading to a commercial licence (Classes 1, 2, 3, or 4).
