LOCATION: EDMONTON, ALBERTA, CANADA
DURATION: CONTRACT OR PERMANENT
SALARY RANGE: Compensation will be commensurate with experience, but overall compensation will be results-based and goal-oriented.

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION:
. H2 L1 k; H. }; b, d  m2 b• Provide tier 2-3 support for network issues for technologies such as but not limited to:
   o Microsoft Windows NT 4.0, 2000, XP, 2003
! z5 @5 a- E9 m& h, v' j# Z" y   o Microsoft Exchange 5.5, 2000, 2003
   o Microsoft SQL Server 7, 2000
. R( z0 V4 I6 I   o Microsoft SMS 2, 2003
  l0 r$ J) D" f; b$ \   o Microsoft Operations Manager
   o VMWare Virtual Server solutions
' T9 {3 E, L  r9 [, U: K   o Linux based operating systems
* Z% [2 m3 k' i) x) g   o Sun Solaris operating systems
   o Advanced level and hands-on knowledge of Cisco IOS, VoIP, and security knowledge and configuration experience
• Provide network solutions and recommendations to customer inquires regarding Anti-Virus, Email & Collaboration, Network Security, Migration Strategy, Disaster Recovery…etc.
# t- G0 y3 B, C2 t5 l• Proper and detailed documentation of all support and project related calls
; }! O: i; ?2 R  B+ Z; k1 K• Administration, architecting, and technical support experience on the Microsoft Windows
platform, Microsoft Exchange 5.5 – 2003 platform, Citrix Metaframe platform, Microsoft
1 z0 Y3 U' J( _7 RSMS platform, Microsoft IIS platform, Microsoft DNS and Microsoft Active Directory…etc.
5 \0 Q8 A  I& D- }7 R• Advanced Cisco routing and switching and/or firewall configurations

SKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION:
4 e; l2 N* s" I8 i1 w! q. D• 5 – 8 years hands-on IT experience
) e* B& s' O1 K# D• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent organization skills with detail AND accuracy
• Excellent documentation skills with detail AND accuracy
• Certification should include some or all of the following:
" C1 I0 A9 q5 {, p2 \/ s   o Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
   o Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
5 h$ ]/ ~7 J. Z   o Cisco Certified Internetworking Professional (CCIP)
   o Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
   o Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (Windows 2000 or Windows 2003)
   o Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA)
  {  ^* B' ~+ d( H1 C: \6 ^   o Any other professional certification designations are a bonus
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple medium sized projects
• Ability to understand and deliver high quality customer service
• Advanced TCP/IP and internetworking protocol knowledge
( v" p  H% j# Y0 t8 z) P/ y• Experience in IT operations and an actively contributing team member in project based work
• Advanced technical and hands-on expertise in Microsoft Windows-based migration projects in 800-1500 seat size of multiple domain, sites, and active directory.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Group Policy, DFS, Windows Security, Virtual Server, SharePoint Server, Exchange Server 5.5, 2000, and 2005
• Have 4+ years of network design experience
• Have led medium to large sized projects
