Anything related to water frozen in basement is a serious issue, it has to have immediate attention.
Few minutes work if just the safety expansion valve leaks ( most probably only the valve)" l& k1 b5 R( O) E

Close the main water inlet valve; ' b: C" W* A, \0 m Uopen all faucets in the house including showers to drain all water out in the pipe line; ) ~" I! l% q r5 ?Close the cold water valve to the water tank if you have one; * J! g3 S. The humidifier is even simpler. The drain hose is supposed to have water go thorough the humidifier filter inside the housing and then goes to drain when furnace is on. ) T' b( Q6 @2 F4 [! A" F- p o4 d! O% D! C/ P. c/ k1 t9 U5 {
