An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned.

& o' J5 l7 p5 Y  ^2 n3 UAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.

$ g1 ?& Z- N% [# v) y; jShe lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.
% {' }  k% R$ C  h
1 K* q# Q) l- z2 \5 E& L! OThe man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.

0 |& ?% z' s; ^: I; M$ [5 [. e1 KSearch efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.

A Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Search efforts are still underway, as well as an RCMP investigation. (Nelly Gonzalez/CBC )

Rivers is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Brandon. It is near the Little Saskatchewan River, which enters the Rivers Reservoir, also known as Lake Wahtopanah.

是我的好朋友，中国人，老乡。他就站在那边钓鱼，结果被一辆四轮摩托车撞飞到河里，2天2夜，昨天找到尸首了。可怜他儿子还小，上有年迈的父母，他是家里的独子，现在要白发人送黑发人，好惨啊 呜呜呜

( m& n0 W( H7 b: n1 P您说的对，ATV那简直是个魔鬼!血的教训，只是想提醒大家，生活在异国他乡的我们，为了这边跟国内的亲人，要好好珍惜自己。套用一句话:且行且珍惜!
