买房的免税额度

去年买了房子,听说可以在报税的时候有7500的免税额度,不知道是不是真的。请问可以随便报在夫妻哪边吗?

You can claim an amount of $5,000 for the purchase of a qualifying home made in 2013, if both of the following apply:
1 h' Z( o3 ^: O9 l3 ]. f2 p•you or your spouse or common-law partner acquired a qualifying home; and
" o( F. A/ p% b! z! \2 {' @' f- w7 r•you did not live in another home owned by you or your spouse or common-law partner in the year of acquisition or in any of the four preceding years (first-time home buyer).- E/ A' f1 {; \% \9 \
So the non-refundable tax credit is up to $750.

这样看似乎免税额度是 5000 不是7500?是必须买新房,还是买的二手房也算啊。

A share in a co-operative housing corporation that entitles you to own and gives you an equity interest in a housing unit located in Canada also qualifies. However, a share that only gives you the right to tenancy in the housing unit does not qualify.

The claim can be split between you and your spouse or common-law partner, but the combined total cannot exceed $5,000.
