Job Description:

2 S6 S9 v& U4 r6 M# dJOB FUNCTIONS:

$ V- E, y; U4 O5 R" a: ~* S$ h3 }' U• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

$ V8 i3 Z3 i$ y: }% W# k• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

/ v3 H% ^. S$ K* ^6 J! e+ \• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

$ L) h$ d1 w& J- U# U; w• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

+ e- z9 y: q$ T• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Document activities for future assessment analysis.

• Shift work, overtime, and 24 hour on-call support may be required on a regular rotational basis.

! d% h, b# ^8 x• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

0 \/ N. P+ j0 K  F% b• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

• Demonstrated investigative, problem solving, analysis and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

The Manager is looking for a contractor with the following skills:

8 P1 t6 D' Y5 {-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
