Overall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales! y/ y8 l" v* ~( \

Key Responsibilities:
- n& [% I; y8 L# Q& w$ H
• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 

( b8 N- G/ r2 ~4 b/ w• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.

: W9 ~! c7 \" L• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.9 [1 t) D: c, ^# G

• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.. f7 [* G5 m3 h& f/ W, d

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours.

• To develop customer relationships with gold level customer base and industry organizations.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.

Job Qualifications" b) [' l+ K4 N/ z+ h8 U4 G
• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 
1 L5 }2 B5 S! W( ^/ q5 z! L- _
• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.

; x4 }3 Y+ C+ U/ z- Z6 l• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

& N, J1 x5 T. U) p. X1 ~: s• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.: q6 G8 l: e' n/ V c8 t; |

• Travel within the assigned region.

• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
