Successful additions to our team will have:
7 s7 V$ K! Z2 [* E( |; y% ~, ^Completed a 2 year diploma in law enforcement from a provincially recognized institution 7 x: v* k6 u; ~# }9 E8 ]0 @ z
A minimum of 2 years related public contact experience including 6 months of bylaw or legislation enforcement experience
' Y/ X; B7 H0 w* q1 [8 ]+ JConsiderable knowledge of and ability to apply Animal Control legislation, bylaw enforcement practices and investigation techniques 7 i% D# T) T0 g7 F" x4 I2 z$ o" v: z$ N
Ability to control a wide variety of domestic and potentially dangerous animals utilizing appropriate equipment
( C s8 ?8 h* qThe ability to enforce bylaws impartially and tactfully, often in difficult and/or confrontational situations 7 |' w8 P3 w% s; F1 g
Excellent conflict management decision making skills ) l2 D$ M r5 k# r _) }2 w
Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills $ J! d( s( V4 b8 o) \
Ability to prepare reports and to accurately complete required documentation . Z; a. s5 K2 _& d: |) o

Ability to qualify as a Community Peace Officer II
