The first dose is given when your child is 6 to 12 weeks of age, the second dose is given 4 to 10 weeks later, and the third dose is given 4 to 10 weeks after the second dose. The last (third) dose should be given to your child by 32 weeks of the age.

It's not covered by Alberta Health Care. But it was strongly recommended by my daughter's pediatrician, so we got it, 3 doses orally taken.

I seem to remember around 100 bucks per dose. Your company insurance could cover some.

八周的时候用了，处方药保险报，自费大概70多刀一剂（共三剂）。副作用是发烧、腹泻、呕吐，但没有发生在我娃上。

轮状病毒疫苗是属于计划外的自费疫苗，很多父母吃不准，不知道是否该给宝宝接种。轮状病毒疫苗主要预防的是小儿腹泻，每年8~10月接种为佳，小于2个月的宝宝不宜接种。

我是考虑到将来带孩子回国,怕容易因为食物问题拉肚子.所以坚持给孩子服用了.共分三次.第一次两个月时,第二次四个月时,第三次六个月时 (下个月才到). 这是自费药,每次将近$80. 因为这里的护士不负责喂服,我就在药房让药剂师喂.第一次还行,孩子只吐出一点,第二次, 孩子吃了一半吐奶,连同药全吐了,查了使用说明,不建议追加喂服.没办法, 只有把剩下的喂完就算了.下次特别注意了,准备带回家自己在孩子空腹时慢慢喂. 毕竟不便宜. 更主要的是担心没有效果. 所以建议妈妈们让孩子空腹时喂.

另外补充说明, 这个接种有严格的时间规定, 第一次必须在孩子6-10周喂服, 两次的时间间隔为4-10周.

我没给我家宝宝打，尽管我的儿医也强烈推荐。我自己做了research，现在市面上有两种rotavirus得疫苗。其中一种2010年好像发现猪病毒感染，然后recall. 另外一种是rotataq,就是降低小宝宝腹泻的发病率，并不是完全防治。小宝宝腹泻时最危险就是脱水，只要父母注意观察自己得宝贝，及时补水，应该问题不大。我没打得原因因为疫苗毕竟也是病毒，我担心副作用。而且加拿大卫生局既然都没有放到medical care coverage里，就说明没有那么严重，凡是不是一定要打的疫苗，我都不倾向。只是我自己的two cents,见仁见智。

2. 国际健康组织支持世界各地全国性的给疫苗
3. 如楼上所说要带宝宝回国或者去其他地方更加需要预防

The vaccine is a liquid given by mouth with the first dose given between 6-12 weeks of age and two additional doses administered at 4- to 10-week intervals. All three doses should be completed before a child reaches 32-weeks of age. RotaTeq may be given to pre-term infants according to their age in weeks since birth.
