Job Description:

9 n% x+ p  v' [# d1 [•        To minimize the costs of operation in the Front Office Department while maximizing revenues.+ J/ N9 u' D+ Q' c: _) x& J5 W
•        Oversee hotel security requirements. 5 Y8 M8 Y, r) Z4 u6 U
•        To recruit, train and develop Front Office personnel and provide direction, support, mentor and motivate as necessary.
! g) u% G' D7 h; n% N•        To maintain or exceed the established standards of operation.
: M5 M9 y: a+ `, J, K3 p$ Y•        To ensure the assets of the Front Office Department are maintained and controlled in accordance with the standards and objectives of the Hotel.; Z7 Z8 t2 z7 R" |! E% i
•        To communicate effectively with other Departments Heads to levels of business and type of business.* V' H7 r5 S$ |- M! N2 a
•        To ensure positive closure to any negative situation. Handling and resolving guest complaints and unwanted guests.
% ~$ n1 {* L2 ~# a3 D7 b•        Be able to work all shifts including night audit when business levels are warranted. I.e. working weekends, covering sick leave.* H/ Q0 ]3 z! A: W6 q6 p5 s
•        Weekly scheduling of the front desk staff.
8 a& L/ o% F; d2 C# Y  Z•        Manage rates on a daily basis for short and long term.   u6 Q2 q* A1 v- Q; e3 x
•        Perform 3 month and one year evaluations and/or when needed.
% Z5 R+ B1 p) m5 m' P•        Leading and coaching to provide exceptional guest service. & k# I# F/ o1 H
•        Ensuring the safety and well being of our guests and co-workers by having working knowledge of crisis and emergency procedures and that all front desk staff are also aware.% @/ ^& j9 Q  }4 D7 B$ H, Q
•        Attend Cluster meetings. - G7 l- A+ B6 M' j! i. a3 G$ k
•        Complete month end report, ROB, Cluster calendar, tracking, forecasting, source of business and any other revenue related report.4 g. M9 K* _$ [# d
•        Handle PMS computer problems in each department
7 D7 N6 M- w$ i' S( L•        Handle any issue with the 4 different interfaces : PBX call accounting, PBX messages, voice mail and movies/ m" j. h/ X+ R
•        Handle any issues dealing with high speed internet in guest rooms or business center8 d% n. @% }, F
•        Maintaining front desk floats, and FOM float
  S/ o6 Y" N" c: j, q7 t1 `' h& M' {•        Any other tasks assigned by the General Manager

Requirements:
1 j1 t$ n: V& v•1-2 year of Management/ Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property
& G# M/ e; Q4 n' E8 l* Z. x• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;
, E% V7 _2 Y. }* g• Ability to lead and develop;. {9 h3 z% N$ a& w3 F' A  N+ f
• Background in the development & execution of business and operating budgets;6 M  X; B" Q8 d2 h2 F7 W
• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;" x8 P& _$ ~& \0 v" h  @# I
• Ability to work within deadlines;
  G' z: b2 J+ U2 F; F• High level of creativity and innovation;  I) W2 _. F$ u9 J/ ~
• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments;
% L2 p# p: `' H7 F• Strong interpersonal skills and a working knowledge of ACT, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.& ]5 }( k- ]0 u& {7 w2 k4 G
