Job Description:
3 l; d$ T5 { k* ^1 ?• Offer support and assistance to the General Manager in the following areas:
! F z0 e. t3 x$ }) W1 T• Develop, prepare, execute and achieve financial goals; 2 D& j! `1 J; Q4 F. p
• Provide timely and accurate financial statements; 7 E. b/ T3 u1 X5 b" p5 |- w6 v
• Maintain the system of internal checks designed to prevent or promptly detect unauthorized transactions;+ q. u8 P# w. g' j: A
• To analyze Hotel’s performance versus budget and investigate variances as required;
7 I+ r" N# {0 z* K• To monitor operational expenditures in conjunction with approved budgets;
* }. Y" `1 @! T7 }$ K2 d; u$ l• To reconcile all supplier accounts, to post all payables, and to pay vendors in accordance with due dates and cash flow projections;" b: Z( x1 I2 C0 d. t
• To monitor city ledger and guest ledger transactions, and to collect all receivables on a timely basis;" G% S) c# K- l' h, p( K
• To set up, track, record, and process all payrolls; to handle related HR and benefit matters as required$ G3 `- F8 G. [& T- |5 g* _
• Maintain all company policies and procedures;

• To ensure that there is an effective system of purchasing, receiving, and control of supplies in place at all times with proper requisition procedures;, K e1 f+ h4 t) A& k, h. O) ~
• To ensure that usual and exceptional purchases are approved consistent with the budgeting and forecasting system;5 V# f: I. v: f
• To ensure all accounting procedures comply with corporate accounting systems;+ R+ a" Y+ l& g0 n2 r8 U
• To provide month-end packages to the Corporate Office and assist in the preparation of financial statements;
# K9 M7 h$ P3 O4 r4 d• Supervise and assist the Accounting support Team (Night Audit)

• Strong accounting knowledge to handle a complete accounting cycle in a centralized environment.
1 b; \ _9 R e& F% _2 f# [• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and owners in a professional manner;
( |1 }( A6 i6 H• Supervisory experience within the hotel industry; : C! Q7 _' L8 T! v
• Knowledge of development and execution of business plans and budgets; i9 L w& M+ s4 Q/ ^5 s
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and administration skills;
/ j; B) c: N1 T• Proficient / familiarity with computerized systems such as : hotel PMS, Oracle and ADP payroll systems./ o+ c' \0 ?) V" d* O/ N9 F, q
• Knowledge of Alberta Labor Standards an assets. * ~6 ^- Q. E U4 W! N
• Ability to work within deadlines and under pressure; # V, e' f) h$ i1 L% W# Z9 m
• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments.
