, `6 J+ y" M* |, ^$ ^; }- r6 l•        Offer support and assistance to the General Manager in the following areas: 7 a4 r, G- m  t8 e- @1 b
•        Develop, prepare, execute and achieve financial goals; ' J8 c3 T; ]# {" h% r
•        Provide timely and accurate financial statements;   d* X8 k2 @. x, a
•        Maintain the system of internal checks designed to prevent or promptly detect unauthorized transactions;
% h% y  Q1 k0 @1 m) y# P•        To analyze Hotel’s performance versus budget and investigate variances as required;0 Y- r+ Y& f* I! d0 _
•        To monitor operational expenditures in conjunction with approved budgets;
) k1 m" G$ b. v, i) W2 _•        To reconcile all supplier accounts, to post all payables, and to pay vendors in accordance with due dates and cash flow projections;9 c& ~4 |4 S7 a! @0 n- A9 c# o1 J
•        To monitor city ledger and guest ledger transactions, and to collect all receivables on a timely basis;% t, X: {+ a" `# C& U
•        To set up, track, record, and process all payrolls; to handle related HR and benefit matters as required* Z* x, V8 F4 l1 i6 |
•        Maintain all company policies and procedures; # q* a' x2 l+ R
•        Ensure Internal audit recommendations are implemented on a timely basis; . v8 @" {5 U# c( j* R
•        To ensure all Hotel’s contracts have proper authorization, negotiations for renewal and are properly filed and are easily available for corporate review;. ^0 t% l8 u2 u# Y1 n  Z
•        To ensure that there is an effective system of purchasing, receiving, and control of supplies in place at all times with proper requisition procedures;, T8 J/ p* j0 o9 ^3 |) h
•        To ensure that usual and exceptional purchases are approved consistent with the budgeting and forecasting system;
2 E) q- m2 H& C2 E) D9 R1 M•        To ensure all accounting procedures comply with corporate accounting systems;
1 Q4 _+ r" q; X9 E3 E/ G" e•        To provide month-end packages to the Corporate Office and assist in the preparation of financial statements;

•        Duties associated with Controller Position including but not limited to the above listings.

Requirements:
1 a. Q. t% I% V( d0 }( @' B•        Strong accounting knowledge to handle a complete accounting cycle in a centralized environment./ J( X7 x& V9 m6 ?$ j: q+ u7 u# y
•        Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and owners in a professional manner;
7 c- {4 B3 y- C6 r+ T•        Supervisory experience within the hotel industry; ; ?' M! E$ a6 l
•        Knowledge of development and execution of business plans and budgets;
3 e- v. R: E& S' D" J, A4 D•        Excellent communication, interpersonal and administration skills;
/ h# Q3 b! ?! |' r1 B•        Proficient / familiarity with computerized systems such as : hotel PMS, Oracle and ADP payroll systems.
3 B9 y  p1 M. o•        Knowledge of Alberta Labor Standards an assets.
# O0 u  V3 A5 r) d•        Ability to work within deadlines and under pressure; ! W# r7 j% |7 N  n! d2 y' d6 \
•        Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments.
