Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.* D+ h* R R2 l, O& X

Responsibilities and Tasks

- Z( L: O9 ~% @% ?- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
. z9 j( |- y9 Y6 S/ `2 o- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements% z8 o5 `1 X" s! B
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines( R5 A8 C( n" d, u
- Select type and size of pipe required& b' X$ C4 f9 }, i' U
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools, S( y4 y3 B* M- R( C. X
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system/ p# Y6 G3 m: [1 S3 P
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems+ e6 \* w" Q6 E% o
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment, L2 ~7 C M% @) V3 y
- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
, j5 s# Q( X+ h: E% {1 O6 B- Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system

Required Qualifications3 A) l T! L% k3 i2 ~1 Q& D
4 D4 x: ~ ~3 u" D0 R. K8 T* M- Completion of secondary school
4 A7 j4 X: i6 `1 I5 l, M- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
6 `5 }+ x) j o: E. E- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals9 [! x5 T% l s1 Y, ~/ M! [
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence) p. T( r9 l- [. i
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
