7 q* F6 t" Z+ E7 j1 M! G: b7 mLocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

( l5 W7 \/ K3 F# P$ T, qResponsibilities and Tasks
% v4 S. Q" i* F2 X+ X
-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
0 p: O3 W4 J6 r# x-        Select type and size of pipe required
, A% E( i& T5 e-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
' m* t+ r) @' j# T# S% N# P-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
7 }: e! H6 M- H0 N1 d& s-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications

: [- \& J( C* o2 a# V' k-        Completion of secondary school
4 T4 P+ W, t' m9 h-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
& M$ @5 Z1 H7 f. ~7 g6 r' }" }/ ~-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
+ o& G2 k5 J: N+ k8 K' N-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
