Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks

0 q2 x P6 N4 k' [0 A. O- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment : `8 n, J, q, w) K9 T! Z6 S7 |
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
: p; U5 e/ L' `0 ?: B4 o- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines$ N3 L+ U K- w9 ?3 X7 N- d
- Select type and size of pipe required
2 S) `. v8 }+ \' }% ]# }6 Z- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools8 @/ ?- u0 q8 u
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system% c/ w( E/ n- |# t
- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems0 O4 h4 W3 G- H% g2 Q: ~. S
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
* i; ?( o3 b! K* {4 {/ v- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system

- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

( G' P! m, E0 f! {; `7 @- N7 z- Completion of secondary school
4 S8 p; x5 _( Y2 C& E# }- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation & A1 @7 _1 J8 b2 l4 T/ f
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals0 V4 W; X" _4 Z% _) O& b: b, C m: A
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence( i* O6 i7 F/ k4 j/ _5 s
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset3 j! _$ E* R* k# a9 z& D0 {- p
- Safety tickets are considered an asset

- Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
