+ g5 @: G4 I' u+ q2 f, xLocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.


% [+ h# x# x5 g( O% [* S% _0 lResponsibilities and Tasks

-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
$ j/ d* I( A& N-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
) J$ b! A1 O( I; R" r-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
2 }  j8 n* [# o2 J0 u. p-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
2 [5 [7 {3 K$ z' e( b* ?-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
# {0 ?  d. F* w' T-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

# M. h! R5 X* `: A7 d8 l6 S-        Completion of secondary school
1 x# R% o' S" ^9 M) `$ M7 E-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
* l) r8 \5 {  k7 p4 t-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
4 F" w/ l4 c9 q  M7 O5 g4 Z6 R0 e-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
' |% H( a! q( f  P1 Y0 T-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset
