Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks
$ _" l" i" H8 c# O  o
0 q2 x  P6 N4 k' [0 A. O-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
: p; U5 e/ L' `0 ?: B4 o-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
2 S) `. v8 }+ \' }% ]# }6 Z-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
* i; ?( o3 b! K* {4 {/ v-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
6 G! J& M  w' _7 @-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
4 D7 T9 u% ~% P" E3 v! X# @  Z; _5 [-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business


; B) |( Z  L  L$ U! Y8 ERequired Qualifications

( G' P! m, E0 f! {; `7 @- N7 z-        Completion of secondary school
4 S8 p; x5 _( Y2 C& E# }-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset

-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
