Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

& |7 i5 z7 A/ N( a$ E' {; K5 ?& f3 m6 M( RResponsibilities and Tasks- e5 z/ K& B- l5 E* `" N8 ^$ s2 P$ W

- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
: w* E2 } O* E1 L% L- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
+ A0 m3 L1 B: `, i% S- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
8 D! n. a( }/ \* P- Select type and size of pipe required+ C' e8 b6 z8 D% t- D/ q1 l
- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools) h& D$ y1 T7 x6 p9 e+ c
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
0 V. z" m5 ^$ ]- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems$ Q# r* z( r! E# T
- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
" k. I) Q0 y1 v) N6 @/ A- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system

- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program

Required Qualifications$ }$ M! d* ^+ L% \
6 c( l( P- e$ O; `# v
- Completion of secondary school' [6 P! Y/ J9 P t+ [8 y! G
- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
7 P! v0 O+ k7 u2 V% a0 x2 J- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals" V+ C1 Z F- j- ~. a8 I1 z% Z& l
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence6 u- Y: L. n/ D1 _. K) L8 p
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
U, D- Y% d, Q, G2 n8 I- Safety tickets are considered an asset
