Responsibilities

·         Engineering 480V to 38kV switchgear
) p/ e# P, }3 H
·         Engineering 2.4kV to 7.2kV Motor Control Centres including softstarters and autotransformer starters
; X/ o! B  d9 N) y# m% ^0 I
% V% T% @$ I+ R  l3 e5 v$ O·         Engineering fully integrated electrical buildings
! M& `; o  m/ W9 R
·         Reviewing vendor drawings
: I9 Y( ~$ V" T% z( t/ t
2 w5 j# |6 z5 y1 {; ^+ U, l·         Analyze customer drawings, specification and engineering notes in order to create a design that meets the customer’s needs.

  `# `5 i3 c0 T0 ]& N·         Create a scope of work by identifying the company’s agreed to obligation.

·         Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

·         Assist project management and estimation with draft budget changes, based on customer design/scope changes.

3 y  n! J  P/ o·         Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

·         Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

·         Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

·         Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

·         Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project and the company.

7 E/ h, M8 o2 c9 o# w+ I·         BSc in Electrical Engineering

·         Registered with APEGGA as an Engineer in Training
& L% D. N* a3 r- X2 d6 R3 c5 v
·         Attention to detail is a must
4 [; o+ l- m: M& _1 p; @* k# W
0 G# A2 |, S8 F' a  ^. z& S% @: D·         Experience using AutoCAD is an asset

" L; B+ V  \- C# R5 x·         Experience with Microsoft Office is an asset

·         Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

·         Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
) R2 a/ X- x% i/ C
·         Ability to manage the engineering of multiple projects simultaneously
% B9 K5 A" e4 z) o* j
·         Strong written and oral communication skills.
/ ]) o' _. j2 m( t! t0 z& K
4 I8 ]* G+ p+ J' E·         Strong interpersonal skills.

! f+ k3 `' k7 v, m7 k·         Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

·         Possess a Class 5 driver’s license

·         Be willing to travel



Work Conditions

9 y$ Y% N1 R3 v3 k4 A; x4 KOvertime may be required to meet project deadlines.

Some travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
