Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ! - g3 r) i- ?3 ?" V• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person+ R+ q0 a7 U2 @6 L
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST0 M! n% x* C- {% n2 C H
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
1 {) _1 Z+ a' G: F+ O• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter# k% g7 n7 G2 K
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents7 a8 b- {5 k1 e% z p! @/ `7 p
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker6 y/ Q1 v$ k6 |$ w
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events+ X0 ]6 w/ \4 k) P
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events8 Q6 }( X3 d, x V# @9 \, j
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean8 K( o9 ^' b, i3 ~: W9 i
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned/ j# x! `- M! g3 ]8 _, r, P; {
• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
8 |$ y5 w: x! f! `- V' K$ O8 u5 ~• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
; K, A+ [( v) Q5 }• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
. w* X' J# J+ Q- s+ c• Good English writing and oral communication skills
" { c: |, I6 c6 @; e6 z• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
' b8 k |- Z4 J7 V4 s• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook+ [% j1 r; C( V$ J# F
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 1 @# S- R% g; X8 Z/ p% R) ~) ^
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds
& I; D! f& z6 q) @2 E• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment* g. r' N, J2 H# i. Z: N% c4 o
• Knowledge of immigrant services% B0 G8 Y v- P3 T# r
2 F1 q- a8 P) q8 YQualifications:
) a6 M2 L6 n# [6 C# e0 S1 ^6 G• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
5 ^$ H# p* G2 G* R5 Q! N! ~" {• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
\( k' ]. l1 E" ?/ ~( g$ F• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism) s, \& b$ C: J( E; g
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
