Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

4 Y b: H5 w& W ]0 SPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 7 B2 T- { E! ) |- r) n/ j7 R* @7 [+ j• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
9 Q% S4 I: I& z3 Q5 |0 g• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST- m# C' s/ J# F y6 U; G5 d% |: t
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
0 z6 m$ O7 A3 F• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
7 \/ n$ ?$ s; }0 c3 r5 {& n5 C• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents* B6 _4 T* ]3 e4 G, b
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events/ n/ P) }0 U. U% p& L7 g- j1 Q! E
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean W6 c* B ?- p- i X; p+ L
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:& x' T; m! \8 r. H q1 \5 ]0 X
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
5 n% c4 `4 G- {6 h• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset. [ I& ^7 H0 p4 H! i
• Good English writing and oral communication skills6 w: F3 c0 x4 S _% L3 ?
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients( O- `6 a v& G
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

5 \8 A6 n' }7 g: f E0 ^# J• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
3 g$ ^2 u/ j) U: T5 u% ~• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment9 w' j% l+ L* ^! ? b
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
