Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
$ C0 |5 Y( v2 \0 k& M" v• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately3 M* r5 H/ z% ^2 s
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter1 \- G, _/ C h# a# R* ~, [
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents6 T3 y3 _: ]# v* w: G: c2 o
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker" Z# ?9 ?, {9 ?
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
! l- g" B) {; h1 s0 C• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
' i l$ b& Y6 R. ~; H, v• Good English writing and oral communication skills; Z5 U2 T% C- L# x# I
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
/ \0 D: `$ L5 R• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook6 N9 `" w8 l# t
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
0 O: x+ p$ L. L: h+ V• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
m1 q6 d' Z* E• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
/ b% O( `* K: Y" }' ]. K/ _• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment% R6 ?3 b5 [5 C5 Q3 G g/ K
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
% O) J: g8 v, ~) [3 s• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
