* L% p) p% a+ cPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person! C; c4 p: G& N9 J- h! \$ o" s l
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
& h3 l* N$ S) d0 Z/ j h4 ~3 K! a• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately" Y1 H9 m1 M4 m2 \. ?. T
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter' _- O& }1 D6 _
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents d6 i* |% H; A4 X
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker E2 ~+ [1 w" ?& g5 `4 T3 i4 l
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
$ F& s& b, g$ m. P% T+ G• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
& `2 d: {" |8 h4 _• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
( S% E, K$ ^5 Y/ T# G• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters9 N l; h8 O, m
• Maintain front counter service files2 Q& Y' @/ f4 Y( a" F
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
- b' V6 o; a% h$ v7 V' Y• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
/ Q1 l+ I/ n; V* ? B) Y• Good English writing and oral communication skills
# T; f) |4 l' M7 {% |# g1 j. w- t) o• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
; @8 _, x: `2 q- Z. A- ^• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook2 T( D: c/ U7 `: ^" ]1 s
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:/ W$ W# e: R9 n/ o' K
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience $ ]6 w) w1 s/ [
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment% o% b/ d. o$ U8 M) u
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism( }" q) S' p* W# K& d
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
